Io abitavo in Italia per 2 anni (1980-1982), come missionario mormone, e durante la festivale di San Remo 1982, una famiglia ci ha invitato a guardare la TV con loro, anche se non avevano nessun interesse nel nostro "messaggio." Io, invece, mi sono inamorato della musica italiana. Anche oggi ascolto.

I am from Turkey. It was in 2009 when I accidentally came across Sanremo music festival on the TV when I was in Italy. It was such a mesmerizing show for me that, despite of all the Italian talks and gigs, understanding nothing, I watched the whole thing. It was Simona Molinari's "Egocentrica" that was my favorite of the evening. Ever since that day, I watch the show every year and root for my favorites. You know it is Italy when the class comes in play.

Ciao dall'indonesia 🇮🇩. Ho saputo Sanremo da 7 anni fa quando Il Volo l'hanno vinto. Mi piace Sanremo perché le loro canzoni hanno qualità buonissima. Sanremo è diventato anche la mia motivazione per imparare l'italiano. Il mio vincitore preferito è Alice - Per Elisa (1981), ma la mia canzone preferita di tutti i tempi è Annalisa - Il Diluvio Universale (2016).

I’ve just started learning Italian. I had been interested in Italian literature and history for a while, but Måneskin really motivated me to learn the language too, along with a friend who is fluent who told me that I’d have little difficulty understanding texts from 700 years ago if I knew modern Italian. I think I’ve roped quite a few people into stanning Måneskin at this point, haha.

Music was the first thing that made me fall in love with italian culture. It seems to me, that italians embrace their own culture more wholeheartedly and proudly than other peoples on this planet and I can really understand why. When I see italian musicians performing live, they always seem so passionate, skilled and natural without lip-sync. There are pop songs in the english speaking world that seem like junkfood, but in italian music, most of it tastes like a fine meal (not every song of course, but the percentage is higher). And the italian people who listen to these gifted artists know so many songs word by word that they could continue singing for hours! It's astonishing. Sanremo for example: I can't think of another music festival that's like Sanremo, but in another country, at least not in mine

im a spaniard and been following italian music for many years and italian music is rich in emotion and passion more so than english music and matter of fact more so than my spaniard which i like but to dance to . san remo was the first to inspire other mulsic festival like the emmy , eurovision etc.

Sicuramente la canzone più famosa di Sanremo sia "Nel blu dipinto di blu (Volare)" di Domenico Modugno ma la mia preferita ê Che sarà" che è arrivata seconda cantata da José Feliciano e Ricchi e Poveri.

Thank you for the interesting episode! However, could you please shortly introduce yourself at the beginning of each episode? It's much more friendly if the audience knows your name. For instance, I love Katie and Matteo and their dog Brody, Cari and Janusz and Manuel, and (last but not least) Isi and Mitch. They are like friends to me and their bringing in their personality and their life stories add an extra to the episodes. I am sure a lot of other fans of Easy Languages feel so too. So hopefully you don't mind. It was meant to help you grow. Great content, so far!

Qual è la funzione di questo "si" nella frase "vi si tiene il festival della canzone italiana" (0:51)? Ho già visto diverse volte frasi come queste in cui il "si" è utilizzato dopo un pronome (mi si, ti si, ci si, vi si), ma non ho mai capito perché.

Verbo 'tenersi' nella forma riflessiva. Il Festival 'si tiene'. Invece 'vi' si riferisce al luogo.

6:33. Perché…. “l’anno successivo” ? Si tratta dello stesso anno. Se Sanremo è a febbraio e l’Eurovision è a maggio, se non sbaglio si tratta dello stesso anno e non “dell’anno successivo”. Altrimenti il vincitore di quest’anno dovrebbe partecipare all’Eurovision nel 2023.
