This didn't alarm me in any sense of the word! Suki is trying to dissuade the pup from trying to nurse from her! Suki knows very well that little man isn't her baby. And Suki would never harm a pup intentionally! Her mouth/teeth didn't even make contact with him. This is simply a dog's way of correcting another dog. She's a lover of all things baby! No harm, no foul!

Even with Oliver's explanation of the moment, they still criticise him, trash Suki for doing what is normal behavior, not to mention Oliver's the professional breeder & is highly knowledgeable of the breed. Why do some ppl insist on stirring the pot?! Suki’s behavior here is _completely within normal limits._ Yeah, that’s not true aggression from Suki, that’s discipline. Suki did the same thing, if not a bit scarier, to her own pups during the weaning process. Her intentions were not to hurt/harm, but to teach the pups boundaries, as in- she does not have a bottomless pit of milk for them. When Asami & Kenji went looking for the taps on Raya, she jerked & hopped outta there really quickly- but A) Raya didn’t understand what was happening & B) she has a different personality than Suki, she doesn’t have the same shocked/surprised reaction. *Both Raya & Suki’s reactions conveyed the same message!* On top of that, Raya idolizes Suki & would not dare show teeth to her pups, Suki would have had something to say about that. Even though Raya is subordinate to Suki, she would have done something had Suki actually hurt Ōji, she is around during this whole thing. She has stood up to Suki just after giving birth, Raya isn’t a dog you can just walk all over. Suki _barely_ left her pups side when she had them…yet they still went looking to Raya for milk. This is _natural & normal_ behavior! So before some ppl go vilifying Suki, Raya or Oliver, go look up how some females actually co-parent (feed, clean & play) with each other in the same household. I have actually seen a Shiba Mom wean her pups off too early, not b/c her taps ran dry, she just didn’t want to do it anymore. The pups went to the second female & she allowed them drink from her along with her own pups.
