The weakness to fairy is regrettable but that’s what happens when you have monotype team. I wish he had bisharp instead of scrafty. Speaking of which scrafty could be replaced with hydreigon

I'd agree. If that was the case I'd rather see him with M-Tyranitar instead of M-Absol. Absol works much better with Scope Lens/Razor Claw based on his setup IMO.

what i loved about Sydney's teams is they used pokemon from the Hoenn region. Too many times (cough cough Johto) major trainers opts for pokemon outside their region rather than use what is available

Shiftry isn't that bad, it has Rock coverage to deal with both of it's Fire and Bug type weaknesses and performs fairly well in Sun Teams, but like most Chlorophyll Mons it gets outclassed by Venasaur (or it's counter part Ludicolo due to it's rain team usage)

Mega Lopunny is for me personally the "perfect" Mega Great design, good additions (like the fighting type and stat boosts) also it was NOT a overpowered Pokemon in its base from.

I think it would be Safe to assume, that Sharpedo can ve switched with Crawdaunt. It is true, that we do not know the level, however, we have seen how much his shiftry leveled up over the time, so Crawdaunt, even though weaker than Shiftry, should have leveled up. Therefore it would be Level

Mega-Absol's stats, as a whole, are the INSANE point of the episode. I expected Phoebe from the reverse order that the League was going in, but I guess that was just coincidence in hindsight. I'm beginning to wonder about what makes one Pokemon get a power-up while another doesn't. Sometimes a Pokemon is assumed to have leveled up massively because it hasn't been seen in years (like Karen's Vileplume, which went up from 42 to 60), and sometimes it's excluded despite being competitively viable just because we don't know the level (Signey's Crawdaunt). Sometimes a Pokemon gets its Hidden Ability despite the trainer never using one with it (like Falkner's Lugia), and other times, the HA is left behind if it isn't explicitly confirmed. (Sydney's Sharpedo.) Strange.

On balanced teams I love Shadow Claw Absol since Ghost is only countered by Dark & Normal at its core, and with nerfs to Steel that Sucker Punch is cleaving through a lot leaving 1 free move (like Taunt) if you think it's necessary to Swords Dance

So gonna be honest, in my opinion Sydney should have the Sharpedonite instead. Then equip Absol with the Scope Lens/Razor Claw. Combined with the Super Luck ability, plus the raised crit ratio of most of his moves. it will always land a critical as the ratio is above 100%. Psycho Cut, Night Slash, Leaf Blade, and Play Rough is how I run mine. This of course is just my opinion. I'm curious what other people think.
