WHAT IS FLANK DRIVE AND FLANK DRIVE PLUS?
Its me again. Jermey from Haasl tools your KZbin Snap On guy bringing you the latest update on the tool truck. today we take a look at Flank drive and Flank drive plus.
My name is Jermey I am a snap on dealer in central Wisconsin, I love to do these videos to give you a little sneak peak into the snap on life. I appreciate all of your support. I have been a franchisee since 2011. My helper “Tracker” comes to work with me every day. You can see him in the videos from time to time sleeping or what ever working dogs do… he is a blast to have along and the customers love that he greets them every week. Along with Tracker I have an assistant named Jamie that also works Mon-Fri with me. Some times she is on the truck other times she runs our sprinter truck. I hope you like our videos and if you do please subscribe and don’t ever be afraid to comment. Thank you once again!!!
Email contact: haasltools@gmail.com
I don’t sell any thing from you tube, I am only here to provide a better look at the behind the scene. I do not get paid from snap on for these videos. I do this just because I love to share the experiences I have as a dealer.
Thank you again!!!

Great personality and content makes your videos awesome. I like seeing how your channel is growing.. You work very hard on it and I'm sure people notice. You deserve all your subscribers and the many more on the way. You seem like a genuinely nice person and had to take the time to give you props on that. I'm subscribed, but the real giveaways are your videos man. Thanks. Shout out from Sacramento California.

I just bought my first flank drive wrench set. It's expensive, but it is a technician saver. Technicians do not work well when their hands are mangled or they are tired. The other part one pays for with snap on is the support network. I'm happy with my purchase.

Are the metric open end Flank Driver wrench sets discontinued? I searched for them on the website and cannot find a set. I only see a Flank Drive Plus set of open end wrenches. Thanks for the video. Good explanation.

The sides which contact the nut are NOT concave as stated......after a tiny concave lead-in, they're perfectly flat. Looking concave is an optical illusion of that scooped lead-in. If they were truly concave all the way across they'd have less contact area & would rock on the nut which would NOT be efficient. Surely a Snap-on guy should know this?!

I started watching one of your videos and when you panned around outside I thought "I know that area" so googled your business and yep I was right. I used to live in Pittsville and Marshfield. I don't own much Snap-On so it was kinda odd I'd click on the video. Anyway, good info in your video I might as well add you to the 200 subs on my list.

Both snapon drivers I knew would shit talk the prices once they were retired. Hated being left with customers balances and having a truck full of tools that were near impossible to sell. It's very telling that one of them has a shop full of tools and the only snap on tools he has are ones he acquired before retiring.

So answer me a riddle on the flank drive deal. I thought snap-on has the regular non flank drive, flank drive and flank drive plus recently released. I picked up the metric 3/8 drive set for sub $200 but I won't say how low. I will say I got a deal but I buy alot just for a hobbyist and a person who even 5 but surely 20 yrs ago was really against it. What changed? I found a solus edge thru my rep from 20yrs ago and paid cash 2yrs ago then decided to upgrade but wanted a differentdealer and found someone I clicked with my age really well. Both of us are prior military so we have commonalities there as well even though he was Marines and Me Army. I've been really impressed. Not trying to give a plug on purpose but I've also got into AES Wave quite a bit along with Autonerdz for diagnostics beyond my scan tool. I've been impressed with alot of the specialty stuff snap on has been able to get over the couple years and get out on their trucks. Also SUBSCRIBED again!!!! Extra subscribes gets extra entrys correct? All those tool boxes you flashed through, are they available or just one's you've sold?

I read about the Flank Drive in the Snap On catalogue about 35 years ago and today most other tool brands make their single hex sockets with the filleted corners and call it Wall Drive so presumably Snap On are raking in the dollars by allowing others to use the patent design. If you want strong sockets, use impact sockets. I tend to use impact single hex socket, both shallow and deep.
@Wizkid490
@Wizkid490 2 жыл бұрын
Patents only last 20 years, and rounding the corners of a socket isn't exactly complex. Pretty much every tool company has copied this.

Why do I feel like I was robbed or raped every time I get off the snap on truck. I’ve invested over $30,000 in tools last year from snap on and found other trucks like matco or Mac that have same quality or better for almost half the price and same warranty and easier to bargain on the prices. My snap on dealer doesn’t care about the buyer just his pocket. My last snap on dealer was very reasonable. He would tell me to wait on something because of a promo that would be coming out soon and would loan me the tool I needed in the mean time.
@modernconflict9888
@modernconflict9888 Жыл бұрын
my problem with matco/mac/cornwell is almost all the stuff on their trucks says made in taiwain on the packaging. Snap on prices are crazy but at least its USA made
@charlesmedrano5031
@charlesmedrano5031 Жыл бұрын
@@modernconflict9888 not everything is made in the USA with snap on. In fact only a limited amount of things are actually made in the USA. And not all of matco and Mac and cod well are made in Taiwan either. Do your research and see where snap on tools are actually made. A lot of it is either assembled in USA or made with some USA parts and assembled elsewhere. Some of it isn’t even snap on made at all but rebranded.
CAUTION: THEY ARE GOING TO FLANK US SNAPPY
