I dont have degree on IT . I talked to a "personal teacher" and he told me that it is better to be QA/Tester because it is a bit easier for someone who has not degree on IT . He said that he suggest it to everyone who has not degree. He said that i will learn python, sql ect ect ect .... I said him that i am police officer at Europe Union country and i want to change my job , i want to go to U.K.. I asked him if there is a way to connect my previous job and the new one in IT , in my CV. He said that everything in IT can not connect in POLICE. Do you agree with this ? That nothing can connect and that the only easy way for someone who has not degree in IT is QA/tester . Could someone be at first QA/Tester and if he want it , he will change it to be software developer later ?

Hey Hitesh, im gunna sound soooo stupid when i ask this because i really know nothing about these types of careers. so i have a few questions, 1. do you need a software engineering degree to be a software tester? 2. what certification or degree do you need? 3. or do need one at all? 4. also can software testing involved testing software for faults eg: testing the security systems? i greatly appreciate your advice. :)

Not sure where your located I the world but I found in Australia I can study online with upskilled I'm gonna do, cert III IT Focus On programming, then cert IV programming. And that will be enough. The cert 3 alone cold get me an assistant developer role or helpdesk then that experience plus cert IV can get you into a fully fledged developer role or security testing. Portfolio is important. Hope that helps :)

@@HARI-nm2iz Hey Hari, from the questions i have now asked around to people that have been involved with ethical hacking or penetration testing. Their suggestion to me was what i have mentioned above to vani, but for the cert IV after cert III IT focus on programming ( Australian online nationally recognised cert ) then go onto cert IV cybersecurity.... meanwhile builind a portfolio to suit your end goal weather it be cyber sec or programming etc... i think with that level of certification and a portfolio you should be able to lane an assistant role or junior role... and from there its all about building your experience :) im sure opportunities will follow from there :) all the best :D

Every body will think testing is so easy and dev work is hard It's completely wrong dev will give build to QA and they will relax , testers should test the build continuously, repeatedly ,u will learn nothing technical where devlopers learn other technologies in mean time,. When it comes to packages on exp. After 3-4 exp dev sees good salay hike and jump which is 8-15 lak, in testing after the 1st hike u will see equal sal as Dev but after 2nd hike u ll see huge difference APPRECIATION::: if the build go with 0 bugs dev team see huge appreciation from management ,onsite ever where If QA team find bugs also ,u ll get nothing. Don't don't don't ever think about testing as career if u r a fresher

what if i don't have such a degree like the companies require I did my bachelor's in B.S.C computer science which doesn't teach software testing but i am learning this skill online from past 2 weeks. 1) I want to know is istqb exam would be enough to grab a job. 2) what would be the best way to get a job with my situation. 3) what if I will join freelance websites. 4) Is is even possible to get a job of this kind without the degree of that field. 5) My subjects in B.S.C were mathematics Physics Computer science (they only teach about c, c++)

Testing only requires tester upto 8 or max 10 years.. after that it is a dead end.. no companies are interested in senior QAs..no matter you automation... freshers or less exp QA can do the task.. I have seen ppl reducing their exp to survive as QA... There is no role for senior QA's in agile products.. my personal opinion Guys, if you can switch to some development.. a fresher developer is more respected than 10+ years QA.. after 10 years either you quit due to frustration or company will throw you out..
