Are there any biblical words you would love to see me unpack in a future video? A friend asked for a series of key Greek and Hebrew words to be explained, so I'll be doing videos like this occasionally. Let me know what would be helpful for you!

Good one Michael, I knew of "Hesed" through the ministry of Malcolm Smith. You did a great job !

Yes. There is a word that Christians use related to the blood " To plead". What is the meaning 🎉
@DigitalTheologian3 ай бұрын
@AdrianaBaquero-k7l I will have to look into that phrase! It’s one that Christians use, but I don’t believe it is in the Bible. It might be reflected in the KJV surrounding the 10th plague in Egypt (the first Passover). It is something I have always considered “Church slang,” but there might be more to it.

God is faithful to his promises! I love seeing how that is baked into the very fiber of the language used throughout Scripture. Thanks for watching!

Hesed is such an interesting word study. My favorite occurrence of Hesed is in Hosea. God Hesed is compared to Israel's love which is like a "morning mist." We studied this occurrence in a class I participated in and a colleague of mine was going through a separation. The parallel was gut-wrenching. Thank goodness for God's Hesed!

I’m sorry to hear about your friend. it’s never easy to walk through a situation like that. It’s incredible how God stays with us despite our ongoing failings. His love is overwhelming.

Thank you for this! Im still trying to determine hesed vs agape ?
@DigitalTheologian9 ай бұрын
There are several overlapping concepts associated with the two words. There are even places in the Septuagint (Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible) where agape is used to translate hesed. That would be a great word comparison to do though! My bottom line takeaway? Both words demonstrate the ways that God’s love is faithful to us above and beyond our ability to perform.

Love the content! but if I could make a suggestion the sound at the end is really jarring after such a relaxing study with your quieter tone (I had my volume up). It's too much like a loud cellphone alarm.

Thanks for the feedback, Liz. I’ll watch for that in future videos.
