What is SUAVE? FlashBots Phil Daian and Andrew Miller explain

Phil Daian is a crypto-economic researcher! Phil is the lead author behind the landmark paper, “Flash Boys 2.0,” which introduced and defined the MEV problem in the Ethereum landscape, over 4 years ago. He is the cofounder of FlashBots, which is a research and dev organization with the mission of mitigating the negative externalities of MEV.
Andrew Miller is an Associate Professor at the University of Illinois, SGX Bull, and visiting researcher at Flashbots, and big believer in cypherpunk values through crypto-economic mechanisms.

I love these episodes that delve into the bleeding edge of research on decentralized coordination problems that we didn't know we'd need, but that inevitably become huge problems as adoption grows. I'm starting to think that Ethereum will need to enshrine a zkEVM sooner than later. I'm afraid ppl are losing faith in the L2 system when Solana and others are doing everything on the L1

Solana is a KYC chain currently, also wanting to use L2 if I remember correctly. EIP4844, which is the next upgrade, can be converted to full Danksharding, and thus, scale L1 on Ethereum.

bruh if we wanna use sol, we also can use paypal. ppl just coping cause of price go up, but tech wise sol is not near the goal of being a credible neutral decentralised base layer. In fact in-q-tel is invested in phantom wallet since 2016 and if we want to truly do what crypto is supposed to do, we should educate people in a way more idealistic way. This might sound dreamy or over idealistic, but everyone here since a couple years, should realise we are doing way more then creating permissionless trading platforms. Especially state theory wise.

Solana will run into real big problems sooner or later. Also if you look at the L2 ecosystem TVL its 10times bigger than Solana TVL. Solana is in reality nothing.
