Hi there. I am John Bond from Riverwinds Consulting and this is Publishing Defined.
Today I am going to talk about Submittable
It is an online platform to help streamline publishing workflows. Submittable allows publishers to set up an online form and then organize submissions or responses, correspond with authors, review all submissions in one interface.
Submittable was launched in 2010 by people who wanted to simplify the process of submitting work to various creative organizations. It is a cloud-based submission management platform that assists with accepting and reviewing digital content.
Submittable is geared toward a wide range of content forms and content creators in publishing including Literary Journals, Magazines, Books, University presses, Blogs, and audio and video submissions. It also works in other diverse areas such as grants, HR, conferences, and scholarships.
Submittable suggests the use of their system with will save time and get to end point easier and quicker. They work with an array of organizations from large to small. In scholarly publishing, they may be best suited for small or medium sized publishers or publications, or those with limited IT or web staff. Very large publishers that use expansive manuscript submission systems might not find their services as useful. Nonetheless, Submittable is worthy of consideration for a range of publishing organizations.

It seems they all want a fee to submit. They are taking advantage of writers.
