My Uncle told about supply chain management. How its makes the world go at float. He also told me that this career will always be around. I'm thinking about doing this program online. Just looking into it more and understanding what it means. I have a passion for fitness and to become a personal trainer but this career here is never ending.

I recently started studying logistics and supply chain and am finding it to be incredibly interesting, although have found that the variable use of terms and definitions can be difficult to wrap your head around at first. I feel like everyone you ask will give you a different definition as to what supply chain and logistics are.
@supplychainsecrets6 жыл бұрын
Don't get too hung up on definitions. You'll hear all kinds of different interpretations. I have a Supply Chain glossary over here that might help: www.logisticsbureau.com/supply-chain-glossary/

Currently its pretty good. Apart from a few classes . The rest are the same with highschool. Its my first semester after all. I'll get back to you after Christmas because they told us that things will change drastically after holidays. I'm not sure what they mean but other students say its only extra studying.
@dreday777645 жыл бұрын
MotoGr I hope your are going well with your studies. I just completed my degree on Logistics and Supply Chain Management last week and just waiting to get results back for last 2 subjects. Im pretty happy with my results. I studied it full time (online through RMIT) while working a full time job (40-55 hrs/p week) for a large multinational operating as a 3PL provider in the cold chain. So for others wanting to work and study at the same time it is very possible however time management is imperative. Its a fascinating field, i was in particularly drawn to global trade operations and enjoyed studying it very much. I found that the course was heavy on assignments which is good and as you progress through to year 2 and 3 the assignments are focused around critical thinking. I guess supply chain managers have to come up with solutions fast working in such a dynamic environment.

What are the main activities and aims of Logistics/ Supply Chain Manager? what are the things that Logistics and supply chain manager need to consider when choosing transport for a particular Logistics operation?
@supplychainsecrets4 жыл бұрын
THat is a huge question. That needs a video all of its own! or even a whole channel! 😉 Have a look at the play list of videos about transport. kzbin.info/aero/PLAI2rbd3NwK6H2F9D5GtRxhQHv7Ro6z9s

What is the difference between logistics and supply chain management?
@supplychainsecrets4 жыл бұрын
In broad terms, Logistics relates to the internal functions of a business such as warehousing and transport. Supply Chain is a broader term that includes Logistics functions, but would also include things like Procurement.
