Modern fashionista hijabis may not like the video. But sister thank you soo much. You really cleared the whole concept of Tabarruj, what things can be Tabarruj, that hijab is not just a head wrapping and of course made it clear that it is completely HARAM. May Allah reward you for stating the truth and guiding other sisters.

I'm not modern fashionista hijab but i don't like spreading misinformation about islam.. "tabarruj" in arabic as it's my mother language is when you come out in public places dressed semi-naked. Perfumes, makeup, jewelry and adornment are not tabarruj.. If you want to take ur islam from reliable source KSA is where islam started and will be saved forever until the judgment day other than that youtube is bullshit

8 conditions of proper hijab! 🌷 1. must be loose and not tight 2. cannot resemble the clothes of the kuffar (non-muslims) 3. cannot resemble the clothes of men 4. cannot be perfumed (if you struggle with body odor, use deodorant and pluck/shave the hair on your armpit at least once a week. never use perfumes with strong scent) 5. cannot be see-through or transparent 6. cannot be clothing of fame, i.e she should not stand out from everyone else or grab attention 7. should cover the entire body 8. cannot be beautified or decorated (such as makeup, jewelry, nail polish, bow ties on the back of your head, etc) note: if your hijab doesn't meet any of these conditions, then it's incorrect! i advise you, my beloved sisters, please educate yourself and strive to better yourself and observe the proper hijab. it's very important, and not to be taken lightly. hijab is not fashion, it's not a trend. it's a veil and shield to protect yourself from the male gaze. it covers you from the eyes of men and raises your ranks in the sight of Allah 😊 the angels praise you, my dear sister! you're so loved! do you not want such an honour? 🫶 so let's work hard to improve our mistakes and observe the correct hijab. Jazakallah khayran to the sister who posted this video. thank you for this beautiful video 🩷 very enlightening and helpful. may Allah be pleased with all of us, ameen 🤲 edit: anything i said which you disagree with - Allahu aalam. only Allah knows best 🌸

Mashallah! I'm really impressed by how much effort you put into this and how much effort you put into trying to be a better muslimah. may Allah make it easy for you, keep you on the right path, and reward you with jannat alfirdaws. I just wanted to note a few things, in Arabic, the word for adornment is more like "zeenah" than "zina". Maybe it'll be easier for you to pronounce it if you think of it that way. also, the meaning of a few Arabic words you mentioned is right but isn't accurate/limited to that. it's not important to elaborate on that in this context but I highly encourage you to start learning Arabic if you haven't already and try to learn from a real fluent person because robotic voices aren't always accurate. I am a native Arabian and quite fluent so if you would like me to help you learn, I'd be more than happy to do so. I'm no teacher so I'm not confident enough to teach myself but I can definitely help. (PS, I'm a woman too so this is a genuine offer nothing weird)

yess!! jazakAllah for this video, not many people talk about this except if its a comeback against men or something. many trendy hijab styles are also haram and i dont think people have the awareness about that. makeup + hijab or jewelry+ hijab too, ive seen many tiktoks on "how to wear earrings with your hijab" and theyre pretty popular people have also told me that wearing minimal makeup or perfume is okay, but im not sure about that, you're still beautifying yourself i wish people would just take time to educate themselves and be open minded about their own religion instead of getting offended of those speaking the truth

Mashallah, love the video! We definitely need more sisters talking about this topic. But I would just like to point out as a sister myself that I don't really think there is much credence for the last point. There is no inherent problem in wearing trendy modest clothing like butterfly abayas, khimars or things of the like (so long as they aren't overly flashy), I actually feel like there is some danger in restricting acceptable clothing to such a degree (especially because, atleast in my circles, wearing type of clothing is standard and doesn't make you stand out). Please clarify if I have misunderstood your point sister, asallamu alaykum ❤
@nnatatou81618 күн бұрын
Like the tiktok on the 8 conditions of hijab was saying, it's about trendy clothing that makes you stand out. Because nowadays even khimar is becoming trendy but khimar is the correct hijab so I'm really only talking about clothing of fame that makes you stand out from the rest.
@Ariemmber18 күн бұрын
Salaam! I was thinking just this, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wearing ‘trendy’ abayas as long as it’s modest! I think it’s inappropriate to call a butterfly abaya tabarruj. As well as the fact that I don’t think men would know what a ‘trendy’ abaya is in the first place. 😅
@larydavis7618 күн бұрын
@@nnatatou816 Thank you for the clarification sister, so it's only if that clothing that makes you stand out 👍 The fatwa on islam Q&A regarding the conditions of hijab states that 'clothing of fame' refers to extravagant/excessively opulent clothing. Even in the tiktok you showed the word 'trendy' wasn't used - so I still think it would be safer to avoid using language that may cause confusion, and perhaps provide a more explicit example (like the photo on the tiktok). Overall the video was fantastic - I just wanted to express this concern...

The butterfly abaya shows the shape of the body and enhances the beauty, so it goes against hijab. However I have heard of loose butterfly abayas so in that case there would be nothing wrong with that.

Exactly I'm also like this a bit. And it tells me that I'm so conditioned by society that my self esteem is based on my looks. Which is the exact opposite of what Allah tells me. So I must improve my piety and fight against my nafs and stop using makeup outside.
@jewelweed688019 сағат бұрын
Take it as inspiration to explore your internal world. Who made you think you are ugly without makeup? Who are you comparing yourself to? It might be tempting to compare yourself, but it is not useful, helpful, for you People tend to think less about us than we think they do - they are too busy thinking about what other people are thinking of them. Isn't that ironic? If they are judging you, the problem is in them, not you. Whoever "them" is, going without it could be a rebellion against "them." Allah created you. Does Allah really create someone wrong? Whoever those people are, their opinion does not really matter. Don't spend too much time looking in mirrors, there is a whole world inside you and outside you that a mirror is not reflecting to you. Consider yourself by you actions and behavior, not your reflection in a mirror. Makeup is like walking on crutches. If you are used to limping, it can be scary to do without. Praying for improved internal equilibrium, stability, and peace in your heart.
@jamilahwillis80085 күн бұрын
I understand and appreciate this message sister, at the same time I think it’s interesting that beyond the direction of the Quran your using these examples of catching the attention of other people to justify the commandments in the Quran. For example, humans are predictable and might deem anything under the human eye enticing, I understand you, at the same time maybe it’s not the responsibility on an individual to focus on the potential of grabbing the gaze of others and pertinent we understand what ways we grow our deen by leveraging the intentional sacrifice of our flesh. Then the focus is internal because there is also a reality where we complete each commandment and still the behaviors can be warped by people. We’ve seen humans fetishize the most innocent and pure hearted things. The concern should be the discipline and what it does for us interpersonally. Even the spirit of expectation, fear or judgement can corrupt or the intention of the ritual. The human perspective can always revert things, and doesn’t bare the right to declare anything as absolute. We’re guiding the gaze not to control others or perform but the heart knows it’s to honor our relationship with Allah. Again not saying your wrong, just adding perspective.❤

You're so right. I haven't really thought of it that way. It's not all about controlling what other people think, it should be more of an interpersonal thing. I'm obviously not perfect and I'm still trying to learn more about the Deen so thank you for the insightful perspective.
