Imagine Seifer defeating countless enemies in the Dollet mission while Squall & Zell eat dirt for hours on end then being denied to become a SEED. xD
@GG256_4 жыл бұрын
I always thought it was crazy, It's implied Seifer had already had much more combat mission experience, and Squall Zell and Selphie were on their first combat mission in the field. So he technically had done this he just wasn't a team player. Honestly I think Seifer should've been the main character, I love Squall, but a total extrovert asshole would be an awesome main FF character. I mean he even changes by the end! Rinoa could've even saved him from the Sorceress' mind control, kinda like Tifa saves Cloud and Marle saved Crono. I mean Zidane was extrovert, but he was also like a dashing rogue Han Solo type, not really a "mean" spirited character. Lightning was too stoic and boring and Tidus was too nice and annoying. This is partially why 6 and 9 are the best, to me. Characters+story. But everyone's different.

FF8 was actually my first FF I ever played, so it still has a special place in my heart. But as "fun" as this sounds, I feel like you are OP enough if you just get all junctions to 3 characters and max all stats (or get them as high as possible in case of Eva), and you still just run over every boss in the game... and that takes enough time already.

Yes, trying not to level, gathering some cards and junction magics make for a chill game experience and you are still op. @@chrismac4441 dude same here. I was about 12 or so when it came out and I remember seeing the art style and character design and being floored by it, but at the same time not understanding what a JRPG was. So I started it up, instantly falling in love with the opening cinematic. From there I skipped all the tutorials (I have ADHD and get easily overwhelmed by too many instructions without any context) thinking they probably weren’t too important. I stumbled through Ifrit’s cavern, then proceeded to Dollet, where I got all the way to Elvoret and was defeated every time. I tried this battle no less than 80 times, sometimes starting over from the beginning of the game, skipping the tutorials every time. But I was always puzzled by the fact that any screenshot I saw of the game showed the characters having more command options than just Attack. So eventually I started the game over again and thought, you know what, just for the hell of it let’s actually check out the tutorials this time. A lot of the stuff still went over my head but the most important thing I learned was how to junction GFs, allowing me to summon them against enemies and use multiple commands including the ability to heal through magic spells, items, or draw. You can imagine how eye opening of an experience this was as I already loved the game when I thought it was limited to Attacking or Escaping. Now I could take on Elvoret with ease and the rest was history....until I got to Adel. Was stuck on her for months until i figured out how to kill her without destroying Rinoa

Just wanna add that you can also junction Death as status attack to everyone. Additionally, you told us not to get Odin earlier, but you should definitely go back and get Odin after you're done stat-maxing. Also, I know this video is about stat-maxing, but since you gave all the GFs their magic junction abilities, you could save potentially hundreds of hours of grinding by just using magic to cap out all stats and then use the Stat-Up items to bridge the difference and bring them to 255. Brings you to the same result in terms of capability. Could also use the StatBonus abilities mentioned in the intro to further reduce the number of Stat-Up items you need to grind for.

Bro, I can't believe you maxed all to 255 without junctions. Madlad. I just refined for a single +1 str and was like, "There's no way anyone has actually committed to this." I was wrong.

I did the exact same thing a few years ago and that took me around 2 years to complete (not a straight 2 years) but it is more like a daily/weekly grind when I feel like it. Because let's be honest, every manual part is extremely boring except for maybe the shop exploit (which you can technically use programmed macros with the right controller or emulator) It is very satisfying but I agree that you'll still need a strategy for Omega

Whooo, and I thought I was crazy for doing this for Str, Vit, Mag, Spr a few years back. Mad respect for the grind!

The time commitment for this. Sheer insanity. I mean, kudos for doing it. That’s an achievement and a half but…damn that’s a lot of hours lol

Thanks for making this video. I had an issue in Lagunas storyline because I didn't have petrify or something along those lines and I was forced to get into certain fights. I think there's some enemies that can't be carded and you can still petrify them to avoid exp. My advice is take advantage of the numerous save slots in case you have to go back a while 😅

I never got to get ribbons so for the guys that dont want ribbon junction Esuna, Holy and Reflect on the status resist for 40% resistance to all stats and add shell and life to elemental resistance for 90% absorb... which does nothing with Curaga slotted to Spr cuz 200+ only Omega can hurt you with magic. Meltdown for vit... beem a bit tho but i can't remember for magic what works surprisingly good for it

When i figured out how the junction system worked and that enemies got stronger as you leveled... well, i spent a long time not leveling but getting everything i needed to make my characters op. I like the idea behind the junction system, but i think it was too simple, which made it easy to exploit. If the different junctions shift bonus strengths and weaknesses based on interaction, i think the system could have been throttled a bit to where it's very useful but not game breaking.

I don't know what came over me recently but I got the urge to buy a copy on steam last week. My son asked me about it and I told him that it was probably the only one in the series I wouldn't teach him how to play....for reasons like this.

This is dedication at the highest possible level. I bow to you, my good sir. Also, I kinda wish there was a way to have that save file so I can test out those insane characters.

Quite impressed by this. Would have liked to see a fight at the end demonstrating the power. Perhaps you could post a short video showing a beat down on ultimecia???

i figured there was no point since most people have already had 255 strength in the game lol
