Came here 6 years later, commenting from a 6 core A55. And yeah it pretty much runs my netflix, ebooks, comics, casual games. Long battery life, fair performance.

Honestly, I was not very hopeful whether I will get anything on the Arm processor in YT. But your explanation is so easy to understand and it is to the point. Keep up the good work! 😊

is there any chance that Qualcomm will use only A55 for launching quadcore & octacore processors in their SnapDragon 4xx series in 2020 instead of A53 they have been using till now? (Expecting 445 & 455 after 460) till 425, 435 & 450 last year it was ok. But smartphone companies using 429 & 439 in 2019 looks a little out-dated, & these smartphone will be selling next year also.

I'm confused about the kirin 558 and 935 are these processor are same in the terms of speed and power consumption because in antutu bench mark's both tapes of processor performed same So what is main difference between the two Are the kirin 935 is still best among the newest ones Please answer my question
@GarySims7 жыл бұрын
You mean the Kirin 658? They are both octa-core Cortex-A53 processors with similar clocks speeds so they will get similar benchmark results. However the 658 will be the better of the two as it is built on 16m, has a better GPU and a better LTE modem.

Gary Sims thanks for your reply and kindly tell about the kirin 935, 655 and snapdragon 625 what is the best among these three

anyone actually realise that gary seems to be more excited in this explanation than the A-75 explanation
@GarySims7 жыл бұрын
I actually think I am because I guess we all use the A53 (and from now the A55) much more than we use the higher perf cores. Just think about it, how much CPU does it take to watch a KZbin video, or reply in WhatsApp, whatever. The A53 is actually what we really use. We all want the high perf, but we all use the energy efficient cores most of the time! The A55 will replace the A53 and we will all benefit from it daily, almost regardless of which Android smartphone we use.

Rifqi Harahap that's because mobile processors are starting to hit their limits and the main bottleneck in smartphones are the RAM, the storage and the software itself. A55 cores, just like A53s but better, will be more than enough for everyday use without any hiccup while consuming less power. What do you prefer, a longer battery life or a higher score on an unrealistic benchmark?

@@GarySims but none of them adopted A55.. so many processors from Snapdragon since 2013 till 2019 like 215, 410, 412, 425, 427, 429, 430, 435, 439, 450, 610, 615, 616, 617, 625, 626, 630. Also A55 has L3 (big) cache unlike A53, still neither Mediatek nor Samsung brought any processor on it.. Can you tell me what could be next in power efficient core ?

It is cortex a55 is a GPU or it is handling GPU or it is handling low level apps
@parimalarenga924 жыл бұрын
It is single Pipeline core, it take 1/3 silicon space of high end a7x series core. It handles very small process which need little time to execute. But more time taken process given to a7x series cores. a55 executed single instruction per clock and a7xx execute more than one instructions per clock.
