And its not just nuka cola, cofee weights a lot if you carry a lot, toxic goo to manage rads, company tea, popcorn, stimpaks if you use Born Survivor with Bloodied build. In the end of the day, if you dont use Traveler Pharmacist / Thru-hiker in one way or another (3-star gear, perks or backpackpod), you need to manage their weight on your entire playtrough. I dont wanna play a inventory managment simulator. For me on next patch: 1 point on Traveler Pharmacist / 1 point on Thru-hiker 3 UN SS pieces with Food and Chems WR / 2 UN SS pieces with WWR (same for the Union PA) 2 Bandolier 2 Sturdy Frame High Capacity Mod if i am using XP Build (that i use 50% of the time): Batteries Included Portable Power You will scrap everything anyway, incluiding legendarys. Managing just weapons and armor with 50%/40% WR is a lot easier, you will manage the same tabs that you will scrap. Having to throw away food / chems that you get all the time, its a no for me. I tried to done what he told on the video, had to keep watching how many cofee / popcorn / water / stimpacks/etc i had all the time. nukesdragons.com/fallout-76/character?v=1&s=3fa738a&d=sb0sg2s01s61p00pg2ph2pp2pi2po1ee2eu0eh2ek1cu2ce0cm2ic4ir2a80s70a04a12a32lq0l71la2lu2lk2lv2&lp=x73xa3x83x33x13x43&m=051c249fe87bad&wp=w6&wm=1g2435&ar=afu7x1abacadae&am=avm4182731-ut-x3-arl1182731-arl1182732-arl1182732-arl1182732&pa=u8uau9ucu7ub&pm=m1-1i2732-1i2731-1i2732mk-m71i2731-1i2732mk With this build, you lose just 2 perks points on Traveler Pharmacist / Thru-hiker and sits on 500 carry weight without buffs.

The design is in how player's plan their loadouts. Chemist-mod affects which remaining Strength perk cards are kept, Grocer-mod affects which remaining Agility perk cards are kept, and High-capacity-mod affects most weight reduction perk cards. How many stimpaks a player wants to carry at all times is also indicative of the average play time that player is playing for and how often they run head first into combat. I hope your discord has a discussion on how to the upcoming legendary crafting is going to change how players design legendary armor, armor mods, and perk cards are going to influence weight reduction for specific playstyles?

I'm a stealth/sniper build who wears 4 limbs of deep pocketed secret service armor for +10 pounds carry weight each, and shielded secret service under armor for +4 strength. I wear a high capacity backpack with the BOS faction for +60 carry weight (total carry weight 120). I use ballistic and energy rifles. I have Bandolier 2 for 90% reduction in ballistic ammo, and Arms Keeper 3 for 75% weight reduction in each of ballistic and energy rifles in my perk cards. All of my weapons are Vampire. I have 5 go to rifles (two ballistic, 3 energy) and always carry 3 of them, with with between 400 and 600 rounds for each. I carry at least 30 purified water and collect and cook food on the go. I carry no more than 15 Stimpaks and no more than 5 Rad Aways. My carry capacity is 400. My carry capacity is 400 pounds and I'm over encumbered only after loot drops and collection following very popular events. Great video. Thumbs up!

I'm similar to that. Though I do have a few heavy guns, but only rank 1 in weight reduction for them. I am currently using the Grocer backpack because I am carrying all of the pre-war food that was taking up too much space in my stash. Normally, I carry around 20 purified waters, 20 dog food, 15 stimpaks, 5 radaway, 5 diluted rad-x, one addictol, and one antibiotics/disease cure. Any excess I pick up gets sold to NPC vendors. I need to do a better job of not picking up every chem and food item I see. Especially since rifles a better way to make my 1400 caps from the vendors.

I am going to have to re-think now though.
@apocalypseapostle8319Ай бұрын
Well with the new legendary crafting system you can defend using the latter two even more, as you might be able to craft arms keeper or belted, depending on your preference, and that will free up the most egregious carryweight issue. However, getting crafting unlocked for a 3 star legendary takes time, and you have to farm up the cores as well, as you need about 300 of them just for that mod unless you are insanely lucky. Most people have jobs, so this will be a long grind period, but once you have it you are far beyond most players carryweight wise.

Chemist's and Grocer's backpack is fine if you only play in armor to save the perks. If you also use power armor the High Capacity backpack is better as it offsets the carry capacity from Calibrated Shocks and you have more consistant carry weight in and out of power armor. I personally use Thru-Hiker and Traveling Pharmacy perks with the High Capacity backpack. Armor Plated, Insulated and Lead Lined backpacks are not very good as you get diminishing returns from stacking damage reduction. The Refrigerated backpack is just bad as it only give -50% spoil rate, which keeps your food twice as long fresh while the Good With Salt perk has -90% spoil rate so your food is 10 times as long fresh. The old camp fridges and cool boxes had the same issue of only providing -50% spoil rate. The freezer that was added a few seasons ago with -100% spoil rate is a huge improvement. The Scrap Rat backpack has a unique selling point as it decreases scrap weight by 90%, while the corresponding perk Pack Rat only gives 75% weight reduction - so the Scrap Rat backpack can be useful for ressource farming runs if you don't have Fallout 1st or for transfering ressources between characters. Regarding the High Capacity backpack it used to give up to -60 on energy and radiation reduction and it lost this penalty quite some time ago, but this was never mentioned in any patch notes. Recently I thought it might be worth reporting it as a bug as due to the leaked ghoul perks from the PTS game files it seems ghouls want a very low radiation resistance, so having a backpack that reduces it by 60 points would be a nice option to offset radiation resistance on armor.

Grocer's I use for storing non-perishables more than perishables, frees up stash space. Cryofreezer stores 50 items at full weight but prevents spoilage, which is useful for brainbombs, cranberry relish, etc. I use a combo of grocers + travelling pharm, or I'd flip to chemist backpack + thru-hiker. One of the other to keep carry weight reduced. I wouldn't want to need both set of 3* perks in order to have high capacity mod. I keep no food/chems in my stash unless they are in my vendor or cryo-freezer. I end up with a ton of food/chems (gulper slurry ftw) and like to have a easy bunch of stuff to offload to vendors for caps at any time. Having a ton of loot I pick up from enemies i can just scrap right away anyway by dropping my tent, where as food/chems I'd have to drop them and leave them. Plus, food I don't need that spoils I turn into fertilizer which I always need, or use to bump my rads up for bloodied.

Carry weight backpack gets my vote because (if you're using Thru Hiker and/or Traveling Pharmacy instead) at least that way your food/stimpak stockpiles aren't suddenly turning into a pile of bricks just because you hopped in some power armor. Would rather just use the relevant perks instead (if you even need them) to make sure those effects are active regardless of whether you're in PA or not. The refrigerator mod is only a 50% reduction compared to Good With Salt's potential 90% reduction to food spoilage rate so imo that one's not even a contender.

Redistribution of points, the carry weight does not effect the tree.

i'm also running chemist, just because i havent bothered yet with which chems are worth keeping/ selling and whatnot. so i just have all types on me and only sell exceedingly heavy stuff like super stimpaks, rad-x (never use it), rad away (only use diluted) and excess stimpaks

I use the traveling pharmacy strength card and the grocer's backpack and carry all my food and aid items leaving a ton of room in my stash lol.

I use Traveling Pharmacy or a Chemist's Backpack because when I don't, I have to go do inventory management every 10 minutes because the game showers me in stimpaks for doing literally anything. I'm a Solar Armor What Rads build, so I barely ever use them, but I feel like I've gotta have it on just so I can spend more time playing the game rather than fiddling with clunky menus.

High capacity is best I think. With the specific perk cards you need for what u carry it's I'm my opinion the better way to go

I tend to go through phases of carrying WAY too much of a certain item before realizing how little I use that item. Rn its pre-war food

I once found the high capacity backpack mod in a container in the game somewhere. I don't know if it's a very rare random drop or someone put it in there.

I use the grocer mod because I like to hunt animals and cook there meat for XP. Also use a lot of Nukacola. My 15 point of agility alwasy goes to adrenaline, action boy/girl and some other vats/steald/resists perks. So I don't have enough points left for the hiker perk card.

I use at most two or three stimpaks any time I play, but I have like 500 on me at all times, and will crawl over broken glass to pick up more. I have a problem

What I do is I take all my steam packs and I sell them for five camps each. I usually sell out pretty quick, but I get so many of them. It’s unreal, but I do a lot of donating too.

I don’t carry food as use the cyro freezer, so I use the chemist mod as carry mostly stims, radaway and berry mentats

My stash is full of lightwheight legendary weapons in order to the upcomming change of lengendary crafting, no place in stash for cams and food, so I have to carry much more stuff.

I try to keep stims under 50, and I still would be heavy without the 90% perk. Chems can get heavy fast.

I might have to look at this, i might have Chemist and the Chem Perk on at the same time for my mule. Might need to change to High Capacity.

I have to get my inventory under control. I have tons of food and aid. Mainly because I use them all the time. And to save room in my storage for all my armor and weapons.

"I don't know why would you have so many chems on you" That's such a fallout 1st thing to say.
@jackcramps64585 ай бұрын
Maybe because i use shotgun but i cant fathom sacrificing a perk card slot for carry capacity, i carry tons of all the different drugs so the chem backpack is nice

Also idk weight reduction just seems like it can have greater worth then a flat capacity increase

I use high cap on my full health build, grocer on my commando, and chemist on my heavy gunner.

My guess is that the 700 stimpack person relies on auto-stim.... they go super fast in events that way. Just a noob thought.

I finally got my first backpack yay. but I have all the Cary perk cards and have 440 weight. I was changing my perk set up tobtrybone of these others and my weight jumped to 2041 weight. so those perks make a difference.
@upthebet5 ай бұрын
I run chemists, but not because I carry 700 stims. Full health commando I think of it like this, does the chemists save me 60 lbs in carry weight? Yes? Then it's better than the high capacity. I'd rather not use perk points and waste then on carry weight, so I manage my food in camp and carry all my chems on me to use as well as sell. If I was running weight reduction perks I would probably use the HCB mod too.

I use both traveling pharmacy and thru hiker, because I have a hoarding problem and at this point there's no room in my stash for all this stuff... So anyway, high capacity for me. And I grinded all my badges before I learned you could get them from repeatable daily quests... Sigh

Grocer because i use a food for one of each existing possible food buffs all the times lol. Also agility has no free perk points for other perk cards in my build.
