Chain is key. With enough chain a bowling ball will make a good anchor

No mention of the holding power of any anchor. It varies from 4 x weight of anchor to 40 x weight. Chain gives catenary which can absorb some shock, but the more you need it (high winds) the less it exists, until in extreme winds it all but disappears.

Those two anchors are complete junk. And of course he even likes the plow anchor. These are the 3 worst anchors. This dude has no business giving anchoring advice.
