This is Part 3 of my Espresso Martini Series. I want to find the best coffee liqueur for espresso martini! So i've done a little taste test, then after it, i'll crown thew winner, the world's best coffee liqueur. Now this video is obviously about what is the best coffee liqueur for espresso martini. BUT. Also. you could use this as the best coffee liqueur for a white russian too.
Now, pretty much in the Uk, the espresso martini comes down to tia maria vs kahlua. But in Australia they have Espresso Martini Mr Black. Mr Black Coffee Liqueur is a well loved Australian brand. But not massively popular in the UK yet. But the bars that do use it, they'll often try kahlua vs mr black too.
So this is the test to find what is the best tasting Coffee liqueur. Before the Video, i had it as Kahlua. Kahlua what is the best brand of Coffee Liqueur. But what do you think happened after the tasting!? Which Coffee Liqueur is best for espresso martini? Watch and find out.

Yup. Tia Maria will be many people’s go to. However I think it’s just a little bit thin for the Espresso Martini hence most Bars using Kahlua. But Tia Maria is great for Simple Serves.

Mr Black Cold Brew is one of my favourites and i agree that Conker is very similar. Have you tried Kalkar Steve? Made with Cornish distilled rum. 25% alcohol.

Yeah, they sent me a little miniature of Kalkar when they sent me a bottle of Mooncurser Spiced Rum. I can confirm it was REALLY good!!

Yeah maybe. But there’s deffo a place for Kahlua. It’s a lovely liqueur.

The best one is Borghetti from Branca. And you didn't even try it....

@@StevetheBarmanUK it is made by Branca, you know Fernet Branca in Milano. It's made on espresso so unlike the other coffee liqueur it contains the coffee oil. And it has only 1/3 the added siger og Kahlua. It is superior. (I'm a bartender too ). Try it and let me know your rating :)

Pretty similar. Just not as Tasty as Mr B. It has a funny bitter Coffee Aftertaste. The Quality of the actual Coffee in Mr B is phenomenal. That’s why it does so well. Kahlua and Tia Maria would be your sweeter alternatives.

Nope. Not at all. Firstly, look at the date of this video. Secondly, don’t think it’s ever been a mainstream UK release. It’s certainly not listed at any major supplier. 👍

Ha, well I can literally buy and do buy from anyone in the UK. I dare say someone managed to get it to the UK, but as I say, it was never a mainstream UK release. There’s actually a lot of Jameson’s expressions we don’t get in the UK that are on sale in the US and Canada. And across Europe. Normally it’s a conscious decision by owners Pernod Ricard, because the UK is not a massive Irish Whiskey drinking country. I did have a look at 5/6 of my suppliers, not one of them has it listed, nor does any UK supermarket chain. Sorry.

@@StevetheBarmanUK When I started bartending back in 1977 the bottle just said Coffee Liqueur, now it say's Rum & Coffee Liqueur. I just tasted some and couldn't tell the difference but it's been a long time! Tried to ask Kuhlua but they wanted too much info.
