Welcome! My channel is all about how to homeschool for beginners. In this video, I answer one of the most popular questions of new homeschoolers: what is the best homeschool curriculum?
Every family is different, every student has different needs, every homeschool mom has different ways of wanting to present material to their kids. There is no one-size-fits-all curriculum out there.
My advice for finding the curriculum that works for you is to ask other homeschool moms what they use, and then research it yourself to see if it works for your kids. Consider how your kids learn best and how you would like to teach. There are thousands of different homeschool curriculums out there, and no one can take the time to research them all.

I loved timberdoodle for that. There's not a co-op anywhere close to me. I started with timberdoodle in prek and that really opened my eyes in terms of what my son needed from me. I started the ordinary parents guide to teaching reading when he was 3 as well. I think that made it much easier. I now use timberdoodle for enrichment moreso than core curriculum even though he's only 4.5 because it gave me the confidence to break away. I still use their scheduler though. I'm excited about all about spelling for this fall...

It sounds like you’re off to a great start! I’m so sorry there isn’t a co-op near you. Have you been able to find any other homeschoolers around you? You could always start your own informal co-op with just a few other families. It can be as simple as gathering together once a week, letting the kids play, and chatting with the other moms.

I am already a homeschooler but I am looking for some beginner-friendly curriculums for a mom who wants to homeschool but is scared she will fail. I started with some expensive boxed curriculums that I didn't stick with, so I don't want to recommend those. I don't want to scare her away from homeschooling.

I appreciate your content. It has helped me so much on my journey in homeschool planning. As I'm taking these steps I'm doing my best to absorb as much information as I can. However, if you are right it can become overwhelming! By any chance can you suggest curriculum for 3rd graders? My son is about to enter 3rd grade and any information helps.
