I severely underrated Trickster in Leagues 4 purely on the basis of forgetting how much it sucks to constantly fail pickpockets. I still feel that it's not the most game-breaking thing, but it was DEFINITELY a massive game-changer for accounts who picked it, while the others two tier-1's were still very nice to have, but ultimately did little to actively change how you played the game, instead mostly just making it more convenient. Tier lists like this are nice in a vacuum to compare relics in general, though when it comes to picking between relics within a tier it turns into a much harder conversation. Farmer's Fortune might be a very middling relic because it ONLY helped with Farming, but because you had to compare it to two other nothingburger relics it ended up feeling far more impactful for the people who picked it because they were missing out on less relative to picking other relics.

I feel like production prodigy was objectively slightly better but I did regret not picking Trickster because I got burned out with 5 fewer afk skills. I did get ahead of everyone else super fast though.

What I do really regret is picking Kandarin over Zeah or Desert just for Piety. I picked Equilibrium and Fire Sale over Ruinous Powers and Bank Note because I thought I would need the relics to get to the endgame content fast enough. Turns out I had my Scythe and Torva with 3 weeks left. My region and relic choices just made Nex suck super hard. I also wish I had picked Special attacks over Berserker as a melee. I wanted to hit 120s with Dharok, it was fun 1-hitting everything but it only helped with slayer. DDS specs at Nex and SGS/BGS/ZCB specs at ToB and Nightmare would have been so much more fun. Although Nylocas room would have sucked.

I think it’s the most chosen relic by % out of any league, and it was so integral that It’s just a default in every subsequent league that you’ll have infinite run. Not there yet but same with last recall. When something is so integral that every league afterwards incorporates it somehow, that’s a tier beyond S in my opinion

Feel your playstyle spoke through a LOT on this. Botanist was insanely powerful for its tier. Non-stop boosts were the strongest choice by far. It being same tier as the near useless infernal tools is whack. And equilibrium is one of the strongest "points focused" relics we've ever gotten due to how it benefited XP gaining. Which is how you were ranked in leagues so should reflect its power big time. But i'd say botanist was the clear favourite here for its skilling + combat benefits.

Firesale is F tier?? Nahhhhhhhhh it was SO strong and useful, without just skipping ironman aspects. Your regions shops now mattered so it was interesting development. Lategame you had no need for money but infinite shop methods still existed that Bank noters didn't experience. Meanwhile bankers note just sped up RC and made PvM easy (it already was).

Your skilling example is redundant. Everyone had last recall. You can teleport to a bank and recall immediately. Bankers notes on gatherers was not a real benefit. Its sole beneft was for 0 time XP sweats goign for ranks (which you have shown isnt a factor for you) and noobs in PvM like inferno (raids shit out supplies at you anyway)

The combo of berserker + executioner in leagues 4 with shadow was so insane. Hot/cold orb down to low HP, 3 guaranteed 80+ hits with shadow, then execute was crazy fun just ripping through anything.

I personally disliked the 3 combat relics from leagues 4. I didn't like that you pretty much had to pick a combat style and it rendered the other two practically useless in the sense of leagues, when you had to switch to another combat style it felt like you just took a massive power hit. It had its moments of fun where you had to try work out the best way to complete whatever you wanted to do with your chosen style. This time I hope they dont lock us into a specific combat style but rather focus on attributes of combat, so e.g. buff attack speed, increase damage of slower hits maybe or now that mage and range have more weakness attributes you could create a relic around hitting with the enemies weakest style has some extra effect, this would mean that having a larger range of weapons could be super useful rather than just going for the single best item in your combat style.

If you go on pure time save to max fire sale is S, crafting, smithing, fletching, magic, construction, cooking all 1,000x faster. Being able to stack infinity rune knives for ranged training, bagged hedges for fastest farming xp. 8 skills 99 that give you points to snowball to better relics. For people who cant play 15 hours a day it was insanely good. Bankers noters talk runecrafting but forget that last recall was given for free.

Banker note regretter here. If I had picked Fire Sale I would have left early mode much earlier and since I did not have that much time to play it would have been better for me to get fast as fuck to top level and I could just budget use last recall. Sure Bankers note allowed infinite food and infinite cheating and overall better but honestly both S tier.

yep only time i regretted fire sale and was jealous of bankers note was doing 99 rc. the rest of the time, ESPECIALLY early and mid game i was so glad i picked it while all my friends were waiting a week or two to fully utilise bankers note and it was mainly to cheese inferno, which who cares its leagues everything is ezmode anyway

I picked Fire Sale even though I knew Banker's Note would be like the Last Recall of this Leagues. Because Fire Sale lined more up with how I like to play the game. I wanted to spend more time PvM'ing and less time gathering resources. With Fire sale, I could just infinitely buy any food I'd ever want and if I had Banker's Note there would be a bunch of situations where I'd just eat/chug through my resources so I'd in the end have to spend less time doing what I want to only to go back to potion farming and fishing

Your regret is the reason I went with Fire sale. While the "meta" was to buy from gem stores and sell back cut gems with bankers note, I think that was a straight up trap. I had chosen Production Master as my tier 1 relic and with Fire sale, I was able to blitz to 85 crafting in about an hour, thus earning points way quicker and thus gaining new relics and areas. Also there was synergy with just straight up skilling methods, with fremmy you could gain a bunch of consturction xp which is great, cooking becomes super quick, smithing super quick with giants foundry, etc. ...Like not to be too negative but a lot of the community only seeemingly saw the surface level of fire sale and said nah it is bad, when in reality it was a good relic to get a super easy 3000 - 5000 points mininum just straight from "brain dead" skilling.

@@slayer100141 You touched an important point I had forgotten : The insane synergy of Fire Sale with certain regions basically made it so if you wanted to speedrun it to tier 8 (but not dragon cup) in the less amount of time needed Fire sale in Fremmenik and Tiranww region (two shitty ones) would have allowed you to skip so many ranks it would have been insane. Free 99 construction, free crown in tirann, free big construction achievement in fremmenik etc you get the gist. Overall Bankers note is strong the entire game but fire sale is better in frem and tirannw and remains good everywhere else it allows you to fly so fast to tier 8 and for people that only cared about tier 8 and not dragon cup it was a very good choice.

@@jeanbob1481 I personally would not have gotten Dragon Cup without fire sale, simply because of those "free" skilling tasks. I went Wilderness/Fremmy/Desert (Magic Build, didn't touch DT2 Bosses or Toa) without those skilling tasks being super quick I wouldn't have wanted to grind for those points and since I didn't touch (DT2/TOA) I would have been quite behind point wise thus I rank fire sale very highly, I am also of the opinion that trickster was and is overrated to me it very much fits into the same rank as Skilling Prodigy where it is great if you are only planning to play for a little bit and not get certain skills to 99 or max, but if you are planning to it becomes a dead relic at a certain point, and thus less useful than the others. I am all for variety and letting people play how they want, but ironically it feels like Leagues gets dominated by a Meta, and if you do something outside that Meta than you get for lack of a better term "bullied" which is not great imo because it can make people want to quit because they feel like they made a mistake at it "ruins" their League experience.

Production prodigy was really good not for the boosts, but the time you saved processing everything. Crafting, smithing, and fletching were just instant.

I did guardian, draining, and bankers note on my first account so I could learn raids with a lot of cushion. Once I did that I made a second account where I did berserker, retribution, fire sale. Propelled into late game with my new knowledge and very quickly killed everything with no consequence to playing recklessly.

Rating Shattered Relics effects is kinda hard to do, because like you said, you can always just swap to a slightly more optimal thing instead of planning your leagues around stuff. But also because some effects were easier to slot in than others, or required weaker base relics. Or you have things like Fast Metabolisim, where yeah it’s bad, but so many bossing setups just kinda got it for free because it had a lot shared requirements with the tanking relics. I’d also like to throw one pretty busted thing out there for S4’s treasure hunter. You could do one step beginner clue scrolls, and occasionally get much higher chests. I had thousands of clue scrolls, would just drop anything that wasn’t just digging where I was standing, and was getting hard boxes frequently. Such an amazing relic

Just to point out: people weren't just "running around a tree" to get that agility xp in Leagues 4. If you had enough players you could have each player follow the next one in line. Everyone would run after each other around the tree, resulting in endless passive agility XP. There were certain worlds where the community came together to just establish these follow chains (similar to how some worlds just end up being the "official" Ardy Knights worlds). Turn on the game, click to follow, then check back every few minutes to keep from logging out. Agility numbers go up.

Fire Sale is really good for rushing dragon rank. 1st person to get dragon rank in leagues 4 was Fire Sale. It has potential to be even stronger in league's 5 as Varlamore is just better Fremennik now when it comes to shop value having things like a stonemason, uncut ruby without need for tokkul, and nearly every shop type if missing it from other regions.

In hindsight I regretted picking FS but I wouldn't have spent nearly as much time at Nex and ToB if I hadn't. I think it's either B tier or never again because it breaks a core mechanic of the game.

Right off the bat, 0:15, I gotta say the obvious best relic is last recall. And Fire Sale and Bankers note are both solid C tier, early game entries. Fire sale for infinite money and a maxed house was awesome, probably wouldn't have taken it without Fremmy, but since i was taking Fremmy, it was awesome. Since Bankers Note also fell off late game with last recall, and the ability to bring noted food in to a raid never mattered, since i took the explode when you die relic to combo with berserker and Dharoks and so effectively had infinite resources anyways.

For 70% of players, bring noted food into a raid definitely mattered. Dragon and Rune cup players had the skill to do the raid well without it, but most people don't. it was like 5% of players did more than 50 TOA runs. Raids is a huge skill check and endless food allows people to make more mistakes.

I'm sorry, but there's no way that berserker isn't S tier :p The other choices in its tier didn't come close. It was a massive boost to dps in all scenarios, and it completely trivialized slayer allowing you to 1-2 shot most mobs 100% guaranteed.

Took fire sale. No regrets helped me speed through the beginning to get my last relic. Went mage relic and I took dessert and zeah for cox and toa but i am really comfortable in those raids so didnt need infinite supplies. If i had to do nex or gwd bankers note would of been my go to but in those raids i got free supplies anyways. I felt like i missed out using it at MTA but i was really happy with my choice

WAIT are you jebaiting with Farmers Fortune speed farming cycles by 25%. That is wrong. Growth cycle became instant. Which was insane if you had Zeah, because unlimited amount of all the seeds due to contracts and tithe farm for wines of zamorak. 200mil farming took like 1hr to get seeds. Then planting calquat/hardwood for insane xp rates. The fact you gained unlimited amount potions and herblore training. Which normally takes so much longer imo is +A-tier relic. You could argue between B and A if you didn't have Zeah but even then herblore was so easy.

ok no offence I'm 1 minute in... you usually have pretty good leagues opinions but abyssal accumulator was actually not bad. it worked on runes AND ammo. and you couldn't get an ava's because you were kourend locked. did you even play twisted league? I know runners and walkers were a meme because of boaty, but like your opinion is just wrong if you think abyssal accumulator was an F tier choice. I was alching chaos runes and had 99 mage range casually. if I ever needed blood runes I just chose my slayer task to go kill bloodvelds and even casting wave spells you'd go positive on blood runes. sure it wasn't "correct" but it was very good if you wanted down-time to use the wiki instead of running. every "runner" that came to mock me was lower on the scoreboards than I was *shrug* okay yeah, you put unnatural selection below hardcore harvester idk man, if you roll blue dragons and get stuck killing 100 brutal blues as one of your first slayer tasks... idk i just disagree, but you could highroll slayer i GUESS

You talked about how relics evolved over the years and then started grading them based on their specific league... You keep grading relics with inconsistent logic. You didn't grade any relics on whether or not you think they will ever be added again, until you got to Absolute Unit. This chart doesn't make any sense. You might as well have made a video for each of the leagues as they came out, and then just compiled the videos together to make a new one. I thought you were going to grade them all against each other on what to expect in the upcoming league in today's game. Pointless video.
