I’ve been getting about 18kills a hour at 105combat, sitting at 86kc with no uniques and nothing to show for it but some adamant plate bodies. The time could be spent elsewhere making better gp. I loved Td’s in rs2, made my first b there with dragon claws. These are fun but miss the mark for a grandmaster quest. To be honest the weapons are very one off uses at the moment as well. Would love to see a hotfix on Monday addressing regular loot. An dear god remove the seed drop table, and herbs. How in the hell does a seed/herb not burn up on a fiery demon is beyond me.

Burning claws are actually good… bis in toa sub 425 at baba, kephri and zebeck they are also bis at vasa crystal. Might wanna do some research before you state opinion….

IMPORTANT DO NOT GET LURED. Bone claws actually can kill you in safe zones. Gudi explains how this works in his video with the AGS. This works the same. We tested it as a group and reported this with video proof to Jagex. BE CAREFUL!

This has only happened to me when the demon wants to melee me but I got it stuck on something. Just turns into jad until you step into melee distance

In my experience Depends on where you stand, if they have melee active and your not in reach they switch to mage/range, if you step back near their hit box they switch styles again “assumed it was meant to change back to melee, but have had it change other styles.” But your having them change combat styles mid fight standing beside them or away from them?

I died to this recently myself. Was standing far away from a group of them and tried to just hit one and make it step away from the others because I only wanted to fight one at a time. It started to walk to me to attack with melee but when it got to me it switched to magic then went back to melee. Was weird because I wasn't even running away. Hit for three 30s and dead lol.

Bone claws not worth the price but they're better than Voidwaker almost everywhere Voidwaker is bis for spec? Watch Gnomokey's live stream from last night. 242 damage potential with 3 specs including burning damage over time. Dragon claws is 180 damage-ish.

i havent seen anybody mention this or do this. so today on is it a glitch or feature!!: skipping the binding attack? if you time moving out of sight right as tds flashes his barrier hell kneel down u wanna move right before this, tds just switch without freezing you. it takes a lil bit to get it, but it just feels like skipping olm specials once you do it so it feels kind of intended

Apparently the whole quest was bugged and jagex decided to hotfix boss mechanics causing my hcim to get one shot on a boss that barely did any damage to me when I did it on my main account. Probably the rest update with most issues since old school release

@@ScriticRS yes it was the mage boss. The first time I did it I didn’t do any of the mechanics correctly and it was easy as can be. So I decided to do it on my hcim while even doing the mechanics correctly and got stacked over 90 in one tick. I think that’s pretty unfair to just change it like that while even the wiki was saying overheads negate majority of damage

@zlargo6491 yep, bowfa and zulrah are the only grinds you need for iron. Ironic that jagex keeps saying they want mid level grinds to help with the massive gap between meta and low level gear. But they make the mid level gear longer to grind and not even remotely worth stoping for it. As a iron, there's only one path to raids effectively. That's bowfa 87 slayer, 92 mining, 92 crafting zulrah, than raids. You can do TOA for fang, but that's it. Any other path would be extremely bad for your time.

It's a GM quest meant for more end game players, at least mid to end game. The weapons themselves are outclassed before you can even get to the content. At least with a semi normal loot table they'll be okay money/hr when the drops settle to their eventual 1-2m price point which I don't think will take long in their current state. By the time even an Ironman gets to while guthix sleeps, they have no further need for demonbane weaponry

I tested these in almost max str on my main day of release. My conclusion was my ironman can max 59higher in 1 chally spec on large npc and on small npc itll multi target i dont see these being a middle ground/ better option/worth the time of day to grind@@charles6408

End game gear should come from the hardest content. Claws are arguably the best pvp spec weapon in the game, and obviously great for certain pvm content. Definitely shouldn't drop from a brainless mob like TD.

I never played the quest in RS3. The last GM quest I did was DT2 and it BLEW ME AWAY. With all the hype, I was sure it was going to be amazing. It just wasn't. It was a weird, slightly boring, poorly aged, non-epic quest with weird designs for the enemies. The elemental and the demons look distinctively runescapey, not OSRS. The boss fights were at best Master level, and they hotfixed the last boss to require 3 combat styles, which lead to me sitting there in the fight for 10 minutes, unable to damage the boss because it wasn't tedious enough apparently. 5/10 quest, not worth the hype. Not worth it to grind the demons after the quest. Someone worked out that to get the claws, you are almost MAXING your combat stats just farming 1 mob. Even if that is a huge upgrade on the dds (it's not), it's not worth the time for mains of irons to farm. The table should be revised to a 1/50, then people might bother with it.

Firstly, the loudest reactionary people on Reddit and Twitter are not exactly the most rational and level-headed majority playerbase that Jagex should be catering to. My biggest gripe is the hike to even get there. Personally I think the hp/prayer sustain drops from TD’s that you can consume should be 1/16 in addition to the other drops, that way players don’t have to take a 5 minute trip to bank, poh, Tears of Guthix tele, long-ass cavern orb animation, hike into the temple, climb the rocks, then finally spend 10 minutes to fight four or five 600hp monsters before needing to bank again.

I don't see how you get 10 minutes of fight time. I can sustain for an hour on divines and prayer potions alone. 5 anglers is more than enough to keep me sustained until I get the flesh/gland drops. Granted, I use a blood fury, but the point remains the same.

@@ryanrandolph6193if he isn't dodging the spell after the bind and not switching correctly after that to the right prayer he will get chunked out quickly but once you get that down you only need prayer restore. All damage can be avoided.

It's fking dead content on arrival. If you're a main, just buy the weapons. If you're an iron, you're not saving any time whatsoever ever grinding for these weapons that cost 20 hours each. Just use arclight on krill and Demonic. Sad truth to this, it's dead content on release. Give it a week, and tormented demons will be dead asf. Simply not even remotely worth doing. Drop rate for weapons should be halfed at minimum

i think were forgetting that the quest also comes with a boss that also has bis necklace. I think the demons are good hold over until the new boss comes out. I dont have a problem with the new demons. Edit: It also gives us an alternative to killing greater demons for slayer too. theyre kind of like an abby demon. Shit drops until its not.

Tormented demons are different enough from demonic gorillas. Tormented demons on their own are simplified demonic gorillas, but you can kill multiple tormented demons at the same time to significantly increase the kills per hour and change how you approach the with more flicking and more actions per minute. Something which you can't do at demonics. The fact that it is optional makes it really intresting to me. Sure the fundementals are the same, but their style and protection changes a lot less, and you can optionally up the difficulty by killing multiple at the same time.

@@zlargo6491 @DojuCG, tormented demons have special mechanics where being in combat with more than one is beneficial, demonics don’t (iirc), demonics are only cheesed in multi with multiple players with a tank character and DPS character which is uninteresting and different to tormented demons. That’s is what i am trying to get at, and yes I have killed demonics, what a dumb argument.
