Nice video! I'm 60 also. Retired in 2016 and travelled (primarily in Central America & Dubai) until COVID. I'm looking forward to taking off again, especially to the places you've recommended! Excellent video Dan, fantastic income, you've earned every penny. I've lived and worked abroad for about 40 years, Africa, Middle East, now Thailand (retired..sort of 😆) I'll be 70 this month and was thinking the other day how I felt in my 40's and came to the realization my energy level, health hasn't changed much. I guess the saying...we are as old as we feel is true. Whatever you're doing to stay healthy and fit is working, don't change.

That's easy to achieve, unless you feel you've got an addiction. If so all is not lost but start now on going cold turkey on some smaller things, perhaps a particular food. Build up to different things & before you know it you'll be able to give anything up at ease.

@@tman5634 Yes, I agree. I'm glad you threw food in there. I keep wondering if I'll miss certain American comfort foods if I decide to live in a foreign country? I lived in a few places in Europe and have travelled around here and there, but there is nothing quite like getting back to the states where I can load up on Alaskan King Crab and Filet Minion, etc............ I need to get over my fine food addiction for sure because I can't afford to dine at 5 star resorts all the time if I decide to travel full time. Here, in the states, you can buy that fine stuff at the grocery store and cook it up at home for a reasonable prices. I would love to see some videos from Vagabond Awake comparing grocery stores in different countries, especially the meat/seafood, cheese/deli, and veggie/fruit sections. @@globetrotting2628 I mentioned food as it seems the constant thing many travellers miss when away from their home country. For me, my vice is good quality cheese, something not readily available in certain countries & if so can be very expensive (eg. Thailand). @@VagabondAwake I haven't seen the course and I don't know the demographic of your audience, in terms of what they can afford. AB testing is honestly the best way to find out. But maybe consider a signup funnel where if they subscribe they can get full access for a cheaper price, and if they just pay for the course its $397. You can also do sales events a couple times a year, where they can get it at a big discount, which would be a motivator to get on your newsletter.

Great info for so many to see and pick a country that they might like to travel to or even retire. There are many who have ideas what a country is all about and possibly gotten them from friends that are not true. A friend who I met here in Tecate brought his mother here for a visit and she had preconceived ideas what it was like and all false. She was afraid to come and visit but after the first day saw how it was here. Your books would put those kinds of misconceptions to rest. PC said they are in lockdown till the 14th. Great point. It is also worth mentioning that you need to keep your mind fresh in retirement. It doesn't have to be earning extra money, but it should be something that requires concentration and learning to keep your mind in good working order.

Good contents. I did a lot of the same things. 2011 I started buying webistes, did Amazon affiliate marketing and even went back to the US and drove cab for few months to save money and continue. I eventually found my niche in Amazon. After tons of experiments, learning, losses and disappointments. I found my niche. I run a few shopify stores and do drop shipping. Over the years I have become an expert on it and not only do it on my own but also provide Amazon VA services to others running their Amazon business virtually with the help of my team I assembled living as an expat. I have good income, a great life style all without any physical limitation or time restraint. I watched few of your videos today. I learned a lot.

So true richard boyer, the world is such a beautiful place. I just laugh quietly to myself when I hear someone say "this country, or that country," is the best country in the world. When people tell you making money online is easy, what they really mean is taking your money is easier if they tell you making money online is easy. The good news is that once you get the ball rolling down hill, which is not easy, keeping it going gets easier and easier.

Good vid. Thanks. Im wondering do you have to have a permanent address and have to spend at least 3 months of the year in your resident country in order to file taxes, qualify for social security and healthcare etc… I’m not sure if you can set up a business without a main country of residence, even if traveling most of the time? Any information appreciated! Thanks, D.

@@VagabondAwake Cheers, yes I do have things like that set up during my travels, and I have a U.K. base etc… It’s just whenever I’ve looked into the possibility of Long stints away, information has popped up about people having to spend at least 90 days of the year in their resident country for tax, healthcare & social security reasons. Maybe that’s just a standard, and there are other possibilities too? Thanks for the link, I’ll check it out!
