@@alfonsopayan09 on my Bellossom, I ran a quiet nature cause it’s so slow, it’s not gonna out speed anything anyways, then I ran a special grass move: either Giga Drain or Magical Leaf, then the other moves were Sludge bomb, sleep power, and cut (for mandatory HM use) or hidden power

I solo'd the Elite Four and Lance with my Level 58 Mamoswine (holding a Lucky Egg) he ended up being Level 62 at the end of the Lance battle. He is Adamant and fully EV trained... he is now level 78 and I am going to be EV training a few more Pokemon before doing Red (not because I need to, but because I just want a full team). My team so far is my Adamant Lv. 78 Mamoswine, Jolly Lv. 72 Shiny Gyarados, Adamant Lv. 50 Aerodactyl.

The only real problem with the team is Umbreon. He's more of a defensive tank than an actual hard hitter. So it'd be better to replace him with Espeon; as she not only hits way harder but is also both faster and learns Confusion at a good level. Making her perfect for the Ghost gym as it mainly uses Gastly, Haunter and Gengar. Then, for the sixth slot; it'd be better to replace Starmie with either Lapras or Quagsire. Both can tank more hits and can hit way harder than Starmie at the same time.

My team in HGSS are mostly in game trades. I am not a fan of using Legendary so Entei and Raiku are off my list, unless I feel it. My team are mostly Rocky the Onix in Violet City, Muscle the Machop in Golden Rod Department store, and Kenya the Spearow in northern gate of Goldenrod City. (remove the mail and give it to another pokemon so she won't be taken). Exp Boosted Steelix, Fearow and Machamp are OP, because grinding sucks in Johto (low level wild pokemon). The rest are Ampharos, Alakazam, and Ice Fang Feraligatr as it's buffed. Other starters are pretty fine, including a Female Meganium (pretty easy to use as long as it's female, contrary to a lot of people saying it's hard), but I prefer Typhlosion as HGSS lacks consistent and good firetypes. If you can't trade, and didn't pick Feraligatr, great choices are Union Cave Lapras, Red Gyarados, Heracross, Lanturn, Tyrogue line. I guess Arcanine as my choice of firetype because you don't have a lot of choice for good firetypes until post game. Speaking off, evolve your togetic into Togekiss. Have it remember Aura Sphere and Air slash, then have it learn Roost and Thunderwave. Make it Hold Razor Fang or King's Rock (in Gen 4, it still gives 10% flinching chance on moves that already causes flinching (patched in future gen)) and you'll have the most unfair and broken pokemon in game. Togekiss's Serene Grace, cause Airslash to have 60% chance to flinch, plus the held item, makes it 70% chance. Thunderwave an enemy (25% chance of paralysis) and spam Airslash. Any enemy save from ground types and stat immune pokemon you face will be down to 95% chance unable to do anything.

I only used four: Typhlosion, Espeon, Red Gyarados, and Ampharos. Ampharos knows focus blast/signal beam so he has range. Typhlosion knows earthquake. Espeon knows shadow ball. Gyarados sweeps lance’s team by setting up dragon dance with the initial gyarados.

Just Umbreon for last 5 Johto gyms (as you cannot get Eevee earlier unless traded), Elite 4, all of Kanto gyms, and Red Umbreon is broken AF especially with Leftovers as its defense is phenomenal, Psychic is usually strong enough to ohko fighting types which are its only real threat, in theory could even turn it into a "Snorlax" with Rest + Sleep Talk combo, but yeah waste of 2 ability slots (better to lose 1 turn Hyper Potioning / Full Restoring it)

I ran: - Feraligatr (w/ Ice Punch for Lance coverage), - Ampharos, (Umbreon)^, and Crobat, same as him, - Espeon obliterates Bruno and most of the Poison types (same as Starmie) (bred Eevee with Ditto to get both, if needed) - Kingdra (one of the best Pokemon at the time, dragon weakness only) - Houndoom^ ^I would farm for Houndour in the Safari Zone in Johto for a while. But if Umbreon came through first, I would run both Eeveelutions.

Iam doing a run with no starter so - Fearow - Alakazam - Lanturn - Arcanine - Heracross - Tauros For the Electric moves, I have Thunder in my Lanturn and Thunder Fang in Arcanine. For Ice moves, I got Ice Beam in Lanturn For Dark & Ghost moves I got Shadow Ball for Alakazam and Crunch in Arcanine. Alakazam is a really good special attacker and had a very high speed so he should sweep any Ghost/Psychic user. Heracross can swipe the Dark type user. The true MVP in this team is Lanturn that does not take any dmg from electrical moves so Red's Pikachu is useless and also takes 1/2 dmg from steel moves. So he can beat Pikachu and Blastoise easily.
