What Is The BEST Trailer For EMPLOYEES In American Truck Simulator

I've been playing this game since the week before it released in 2016 (was given a preview copy). What industries are local to each garage totally matters. Like, go to the Pacific Northwest (Oregon and Washington) and you would probably make a lot of money with logging trailers, but not down in say New Mexico. So to make this more accurate, you would need to figure out which industries are available and set up the garage to cater to that industry. I know that with the two most recently added states, they've also added new industries, so that is totally a thing. Also, totally accurate that a truck with a specific trailer, therefore forced to haul specific cargo, will not make as much money as a truck that can haul any trailer. Either way, I like these tests, keep it up! Earned a sub!

You have to make sure the yard has access to the cargo for the trailer your using. And the drivers have the correct endorsement

I was going to ask that question. IRL say the central valley in CA runs a lot of milk and refer loads. North west has a lot of produce, garden/landscaping plants, butter, etc. (dry and refer).

I agree with you on all of it and appreciate you doing something no one else has dared to do! To add my opinion for anyone in the future.. Hazmat trailers have to be placed in a shop, in a city that has a Gas Company in it because the AI will not go outside that city looking for work. Pheonix and Portland for example both have "Chems" companies in town, close to the garage and the Bots will run them trailers every day. I am truly surprised to see no trailers made more money because I have way more "no work" and "return with no works" without them😲

I would pick a garage in each Capital city of each state. Pick same trucks and drivers levels for each garage. Then put Reefer, Grain, Lowboy, Drop Deck, Flat Bed in each garage. This will help see which trailers are used most in what areas.

Great video. I would expect the trailer to matter on the place you as many people mention. But it makes harder to make the video has you need to investigate the places out. That's actually a very great question. I would say this is actually going to be the same results for ets since they are the same game basically with all the same updates. I am definitely going to be doing more follow up videos on employees in the future, trying out the difference between cities is my next goal however as you know, that's alot of work so it'll be a while before that one. The problem with this is that it's not just placing a trailer in a garage. The success of a trailer is dependent on where it's garage is located and the freight available close to that garage. For example, if you place a hopper trailer in a garage/city with good access to hopper loads, that trailer will be successful. A hopper placed in a garage/city where reefer loads are more accessible means the hopper will likely lose money. The game is smart enough to figure that out. I have two garages that are strictly dedicated to chemical tankers (my tanker division) and they top the list of my highest performing garages. But I can't put chemical tankers in any garage. I also have a few strictly heavy haul garages. I look at the companies and loads close to a garage and put the appropriate trailers there.

So this confirms that the better options is to not have any trailers, I’m surprised that the refrigerated trailers didn’t make it to the top, since usually there’s good jobs for that kind of trailer, not to mention the fuel tank, I’ve seen that is the one with the most profits per mile

In my practice 3 garages (15 drivers total with a Long Distance skill of minimum 1) with a basic 6x4 (ATS) and 4x2 (ETS2) truck, in a strategic location do better than a seasoned team anywhere on the map with maxed skills and vehicles, at a much lower cost. To be honest, if the user does not utilize the real economy mod, he/she needs to get up to 3 to 5 mil cash to snow ball the game. SCS never changed this fact.

This was a base line test starting with no leveled up drivers and letting them level their self up over the time frame. I will be making more videos on employees in the near future testing several more things including their skill levels Thanks for watching

I let the employees haul whatever they choose, lowboys were my best profiting trailer so I'd say they probably did
