What is the Best Vehicle for Gigging

I discovered the Honda Fit. It's been a total blessing for carrying around my nearly 400 pounds of gear that I take to gigs in NYC. I take my 14 channel/wireless PA (weighs 80 pounds), 2 conga drums, foot (cow) bell, EV monitor, stands, and mics plus my large size rock-n-roller cart. The Fit just swallows it all up. Its seats all fold down so well it's practically a mini-van! I can even bring along a passenger. I highly recommend this for a working musician. Plus, unlike an SUV, it's low to the ground so it's easier than having to lift all this gear up high to get it in there.

I use a minivan that has a rear ramp for my brother who uses a wheelchair. I can walk all my gear up the ramp and I even load gear into a wheeled cart and can keep everything organized. Easy to load and unload. It's great!

Good video but I must say after 15 years gigging in NYC and if you must drive in, the go to answer is TOYOTA COROLLA. 1) it's small, can grab any small available parking space. 2) it's great on gas. 3) buy an old shit one and you won't care about someone leaning on it or scratching it. 4) they cannot die. Toyota for life. * Edit, I have easily fit a 4 piece drum kit and cymbal case in there WITH my guitar gear.

I have a mini-van with a tow package. I just need a trailer now. Parking would be a problem though if we were to hit up clubs in a city.

Cities are over rated . Everyone is out to see what is in it for themselves and I understand that I just want to perform and avoid social situations and interaction so I can concentrate on music and musicianship. Suburban clubs and bars and somewhat easier to perform at .

There are 4 of us. The drummer and bass player have small vehicles and just carry their own stuff. I have a mini-van and our other guitar player has a pickup. We put all of the PA system in his truck except the monitors, mixing board, power conditioner, electrical cables, etc. go into my mini-van, along with all my personal equipment. We are maxed out in space.
