I was going to cancel my Divi Builder subscription, but then when I heard about Divi Builder 3.0, I changed my mind. It's the best builder in the market. You don't need all the junk like visual composer or other expensive, useless plugins. I love Divi Builder 3.0 and Thrive Theme is 2nd in my list. I have learned a lot useful stuff from this channel. Thanks Adam for all your hard work!

Awesome. I have two big clients, I have been using Muse currently switching to WordPress. I am happy because your twenty-eight-minute video saved me hours of searching and signing up for frustrating builders that are worse a GoDaddy website builder. I even signed up and paid for up front builder which you did not review it was that search that led me here. Now I know the four great WordPress builders that I Can use for my clients.
@WPCrafter7 жыл бұрын
Yes I'm happy to hear that my video save you some time and will help you make the best decision for you. Right now my favorite page builder has to be Elementor and especially if you purchase Elementor Pro. My reasoning is if you're going to buy Elementor Pro, it includes a lot of things you would normally want a website like a form builder, a slider, lots of professional elements like that. Now the reason is a good combo is typically if you purchase plug-ins for those features you have to learn multiple interfaces. However with Elementor and Elementor Pro you will quickly be able to take advantage of these Pro modules because you're already used to the Elementor interface.

Thank you Martin. Both Beaver Builder and Elementor are fantastic. One thing to keep in mind if you're considering your builder is that they have a new interface that will be released very soon and will fix most of my gripes with Beaver Builder. Adam, this was a really informative, un-biased video. After working for years with Adobe Dreamweaver (ugh!), I made the jump over to Wordpress within the past year to see what all the fuss was about. Hey, great video I'm new to using wordpress and have been thinking about laying down cash for a professional theme, but the more I read about them the less certain I am. I've been looking at Divi and divi builder, but having read that you're locked into it once you start using was a negative. Also X Theme, Avada etc but they all seem to have drawbacks. On your word alone I installed Elementor and it looks like a powerful tool, but I'm still learning and as far as I can tell my pages will always be limited by the theme I've chosen and most of the free themes have plenty of drawbacks that mitigate their cost ($0). The deeper I dig into this the more complicated it gets, which I think is just like everything these days, nothing is or was ever simple. Again thanks for the unbiased video, I'm definitely coming back for more info from you.

Cannot properly talk about 'page builder' when we are stuck with the theme structure.
@WPCrafter7 жыл бұрын
Why not?
@Peppermint17 жыл бұрын
The 'theme' design in Wordpress it's a standardization of web building. I mean, we are stuck with the 'header-footer' elements, which is a great limitation to start with. Any page builder or editor plugin can only change parts/areas of the content. Page builder name is a bit of exaggeration, it should be named more like 'theme content modifier'. Just my rant against the constraints of using 'themes' in Wordpress.
@WPCrafter7 жыл бұрын
Well that is entirely changing as we speak. Beaver Builder has a way of creating headers and footers and I know for a fact that Elementor and DVR building this as well. Oh and let's not forget Thrive Architect which is going to make it so you can build your entire website with it.

I've been using it for the last few years but am considering switching since with every new update, something seems to break on our sites. Their support can be quite slow to respond. Thank you. FYI, Themify recently updated their framework which is intended to eliminate the content lock-in issue. As soon as WordPress 4.9 came out, however, we are already seeing bugs related to this feature. Seriously considering switching to Elementor Pro or Beaver Builder based on your reviews. We have the need to be able to style single post, archives, sidebars, etc. without having to use a bunch of custom CSS. I know Beaver Themer is built to handle this. Are there any reliable solutions for Elementor Pro that are similar to Beaver Themer or other ways to more easily style these areas?

Visual composer is not popular at all. The only reason people use it is because they have to, they didn't by choice. Hey Lisa, yes I have heard of profit builder and they do have a new version of it coming out. Great content, great arguments. Still, one question here: I am old time user of Genesis Framework by Studiopress, I integrated a child theme with BB. For me kind of best of two vendors. Or would you rather prefer BB's own themes? (which I never tried out) For me, SEO and performance and "growth driven design" are the main selectors. (I hope that BB or Studiopress come up with an integrated A/B or that some good vendor does a plugin of its own, which would be in high demand if well done, that opens a new thread!)
@WPCrafter8 жыл бұрын
The only issue I have with StudioPress themes is, they are not good for non coders. Those people that don't want to learn any CSS or PHP. So the BB Theme gives you plenty of customizer options. I usually like to give the advice to pick 1 theme and master it. Regarding split testing, I do know of a reputable developer that is building it, but I could almost guarantee that it will never a native feature in BB.

I still agree that Beaver Builder is the best - and it's only getting better... They have an amazing team and they're continuing to make massive improvements. I'm going to do research on Divi 3.0 - I need to see if it can compete with the others. As far as Thrive, I've seen the builder in action in one of your previous videos and did not like the layout of the builder - not as easy to use as the others. amazing video , thank you for your recommendation , I didn't have the budget to buy a page builder and been using elementor and its awesome! Sure beaver or divi can have some deluxe feature, but If you want to be fair, one should compare the free version of beaver with elementor and see the difference for themselves!

Great point on comparing the free version of both. Elementor does have a paid version that is out now. I have it and have to say that it is fantastic.

I started building my first blog website 8 months ago, with absolutely no knowledge going into it. But I feel like a cat chasing its tail, regardless of countless hours of watching YT videos and asking on FB groups. Then here I stumbled across your video and wonder if it is because I have been using Site Origin Builder this whole time. I didn't know there was a difference between front-end and back-end builders, or is that the purpose of creating a child theme? And would you suggest using Elementor instead of Site Origin? If so, how hard would it be to switch over?
@WPCrafter7 жыл бұрын
You are going to have a much easier and much more enjoyable experience using a front and page builder like Elementor. I highly recommend making a switch. Now the bad part is when you use site origin builder there is a lock-in effect meaning you can't use a new front-end page builder on pages that you built with site origin.
@landalane33227 жыл бұрын
WPCrafter.com WordPress For Non-Techies Thank you so much for the heads up! Thankfully I have not gotten that far into building my site, so then I could just create new pages with Elementor and delete the ones created with Site Origin? And what would you suggest using to create my posts? The posts then can be added into a page using a widget, correct?
@blazingdan8 жыл бұрын
Great videos. I own and use (or have used) all four of these, and I'd consider myself an intermediate user. For anyone who cares for my impressions, read on. Otherwise, move along...move along. :) Elementor. Looks great, but waiting to see how the Pro version plays out (which I just preordered at a great price). The free version is very solid. Don't have any experience with support, etc. Divi. I tried so hard to love Divi and have had a lifetime license since WAY back. It just never really clicked for me intuitively. The support is ok. Average. The new version looks great, but still didn't stick. Thrive. I own unlimited licenses for Builder, Landing Pages, and Leads. So much freaking potential, but I could never stick with the builder because it just felt so clunky and unintuitive to me. Thrive Leads is a very solid product and one that I often fall back on for lack of quality alternatives. My biggest problem with Thrive has been the support. It's been unresponsive and unhelpful, and at times the language barriers seem to be a problem (either that or they're just not reading my posts). It was like pulling teeth trying to get them to walk me through some Mad Mimi integration problems I was having. They kept just forgetting to reply and once they got back to it, it was someone else who I had to bring up to speed again (despite the entire conversation being right there). Suffice it to say, very frustrating. Beaver Builder. The one I keep coming back to. When I start a new project, I often get out a new tool, but then quickly reload BB and get to work. It's the most intuitive for me, though I realize that is subjective. It makes sense to me though, and that means so much for an intermediate user like me who can get confused easily. It's got most of the features I want and it has a fantastic development team. Most important, the support staff has been amazing from day one, constantly going above and beyond for me. I'm pretty sure I need to be paying Ben Carlo a cut of anything I earn going forward. Anyways, that's where I'm at for what it's worth. I'm starting a new project now and trying to see how Elementor and GeneratePress will work. Hopefully I will be able to stick with it before just going back to Beaver for this one, too. :)

@WPCrafter8 жыл бұрын
I'll be happy to help you. What I show in this video are page builders. There is no such thing as a theme builder. Now when it comes to page builders there's front and that's where you are building your page visually, in a what you see is what you get fashion. A backend page builder is when you're building your page you don't actually get to see how it's going to look while you build it.

Adam, what do you think about themify builder???. i think their theme look beautiful and themify also have tons of features. their price also very nice also. pls make more video compare different page builder like this. love all your contents also
@WPCrafter7 жыл бұрын
A Jimmy, I will take another look at that builder, attend to not be drawn to builders like that or they are primarily tied to a theme and don't have a large user base. This is why a primarily like to use Elementor and Beaver Builder, because both are designed to work with any. However I will take a fresh look at it and post the video on it.
@jimmyvu2267 жыл бұрын
that would be aweome, i saw them recently release separate for non-themify theme, make be not as good as beaverbuider or elementor but at least they try. beside, their Ultra theme quite powerfull(in my opinion) u really can build tons of website with so many cool feature. i seriously want to buy membership to support their development. i love the one time fee(like divi or themify) 99$/year beaver builder sound reasonable; but again on wordpress development u have to spend so much annual fee(many plugin, services, theme...) it is really attractive for something u can just pay and forget about it.

I have watched a number of your videos and am trying to choose what theme and page builder I am going to choose. I just watched this video on the 4 best page builders highlighting Divi, Beaver, Thrive and Elementor. Since you published this video you seemed to change from liking Beaver the most to favoring Elementor. I am interested in all 4 for different reasons. I am going to be building a site for my businesses that are all connected. We have a real estate brokerage, an architecture firm and a construction company that are all tied together. On our site we are going to need to have portfolios to show our work and will also be integrating an and IDX to show all the listings in our MLS. We will be using Showcase IDX to accomplish that. I think the website is going to be complex organizationally. We want the site to demonstrate the value to our clients of our experience and expertise in all three areas. We intend to focus on inbound marketing integrating an informative video blog on the site that be connected to our social media accounts and youtube channel. That said I think that the list building tools that Thrive can provide are very interesting with A/B testing of calls to action. I also find the A/B testing of Divi's pages also to be of value. I think based on all you have said that using Generate Press with Elementor Pro would be the strongest tool to develop a beautiful site on a builder that would not leave a short code mess behind if removed. That is what originally attracted me to Beaver Builder. Beaver seems to also have a great reputation as far as support is concerned and are a company that is here to stay. On top of that I am thinking about our future and eventually integrating a good CRM and Marketing platform likely starting with Mailchimp and possibly moving up to either Infusionsoft or Hubspot. I am not sure how all of that will integrate and if each of the page builders are developing tools to compete with each other. Hoping you can shed some light on what you think might be best for our situation and hopefully you know more about what is coming down the pike for each of these builders. Out of curiosity what do you think about Ark Theme which seems to be another all inclusive theme like Divi, X, Avada, etc.
@WPCrafter7 жыл бұрын
Hey John, yes I do have info on what new versions are coming out for each of these builders. It sounds like you have done all of your homework though and have some what of the grasp on what each of them bring to the table. First off let me say that I avoid those bloated themes like X and Avada, so that other theme that you mentioned at the end of your comment would fall in that category. Those are just not tools that I would use to base my business on. Now regarding the evolution of the page builders that I talked about, I have remained pretty consistent in that on my website that's tied to this KZbin channel I use Beaver Builder, and I have several other sites that I use Elementor on. I do have a video comparing Beaver Builder to Elementor which pretty much explains why you would choose one or the other. You should also take a look at a product called Beaver Themer that works with the Beaver Builder. Essentially that's the product that kept me with Beaver Builder versus switching to Elementor. I have an entire video series on it. Let me talk about A/B split testing for a moment. Most websites just don't get enough traffic to have any meaningful split test happen. Now if you're going to purchase traffic via advertisements then maybe you would get enough traffic, but if you're just gonna put a website out there without some serious marketing dollars behind it or a strong content marketing strategy, split testing is pretty much useless. Personally I've never been excited about Divi and the way that Divi websites look. So ultimately I can't really make a decision for you, and I know that's not what you're asking. My best advice would be to take a look at Beaver Themer and see if that could fit in your plan and then decide between the three main page builders.
@johnlandry657 жыл бұрын
I am curious about your comment regarding Beaver Themer. I had been leaning to Elementor with WP Ocean and then I recently earned about Beaver Themer and thought that could be a game changer and allow for a lot more power in creating anything and changing the look of the site at any time without ever having to recreate any content or layouts. Do you think that the benefits of Beaver Themer far outweighs Elementor's design capabilities? One of the things that had me leaning to Elementor was the inclusion of a portfolio tool. Then I saw that WP Ocean also has a portfolio tool. do you think it is better to have the portfolio tool as part of the theme or in the builder? Due to one of your videos, I am thinking about WP Ocean, Astra or WPBF with Beaver Builder and Beaver Themer. Do either Astra or WPBF have plans to include a portfolio tool or do you know if Beaver Builder is going to add a portfolio to at some point soon? In addition to Beaver and Elementor, I had looked into Thrive Builder but did not like it. However, I am interested in what they are doing with Thrive Leads. I know in your video you commented on one of Elementor's strengths was its form builder. How do you think Thrive's or OptinMonster's lead forms builder compare. What has me looking to those is all of their different triggers and their API tied into HubSpot, Infusionsoft and Mail Chimp which are some products I am looking into. Do you have any thought on Thrive leads vs OptinMonster. If I did use Thrive Leads plugin do you know if there would be a conflict between it and Beaver or Elementor? Thanks so much for your videos by the way. They are very Informative. I will be sure to make any purchases through one of your affiliate links.
@WPCrafter7 жыл бұрын
Hey John, there are a lot of questions in your comment, LOL. For me I need what Beaver Themer has, so even though I would prefer to use Elementor, I can't because I need what Beaver Themer has. But if someone doesn't need what Beaver Themer does, I think Elementor is the best page builder in just about every regard. You can easily add a portfolio to any theme or page builder, but I do understand that it's easier if a theme or page builder has the specific feature built in. Also I just put out a video on Thrive Architect which is the new page builder from Thrive themes. I'm not a fan of OptinMonster, I think it's overpriced for what it does. Especially for WordPress users because we have alternatives. However I do understand using it if you're using a platform that is not WordPress, that is where it shines.

My question is "Do I even need a page builder?" I have been looking into page builders on and off for the last 6 months now (Divi is finally off the table for me), now knowing that I would also have to get a theme on top of it, I am fed up looking at the page builders and just want to get back to developing my blog. Yes I want it to look good (and unique) but the point is the content. I am also Wordpress obsessed, hence the 6 month dive for page builders. If you read the whole thing thx in advance for reading my rant. :)

why not visual composer? it is very popular in the themeforest.
@WPCrafter7 жыл бұрын
Visual composer is a really poor page builder. It will slow down your website because it's based on shortcodes. The only reason there are a lot of sales is because it's integrated in a lot of themes that are also sold in that marketplace. This is the only reason it is perceived to be popular, it's not popular, people are just forced to use it.

Hi Adam. I am a WP beginner and I would like to ask you some questions. I am thinking to use a paid builder. I am thinking about Divi, Elementor and Beaver Builder. What I like in Divi and Beaver Builder that they do have a theme but Elementor does not have. If I would like to use Elementor, I would also need to buy a theme framework... Am I right? As I see you have experiences with all 3? What would you suggest? I know that Elementor is developing ang getting better very fast but does not have a theme. Could you please write down some pros and cons of all 3? Thank you for your help in advance!
@WPCrafter7 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't get hung up on the issue of Elementor not selling their own theme. In fact many people don't even use the Beaver Builder theme with Beaver Builder, they use GeneratePress which I also recommend to use with Elementor. Now regarding Divi, the reason everyone uses the Divi theme is because you're forced to.
@tiborcsakvari14927 жыл бұрын
Adam, thanks for the quick reply. I think as I read from your words, you prefer Elementor more than Divi. Am I right? Do you think that the free version of GeneratePress is good enough or better to buy the paid version? If I buy Divi, I can get a lot of theme. Is it worth it? Elementor comes with a lot of beautiful layout. I am also a bit confused that a theme is better or a layout or what is the exact difference...
@WPCrafter7 жыл бұрын
Your theme is going to facilitate creating the header and the footer of your website and setting all the global styles throughout your website. I strongly recommend the paid version of GeneratePress because it's going to give you many more options for all of these settings. I personally am not the biggest fan of Divi however I am trying to spend more time with it. There's a large migration of people that have been using Divi for a long time and they are all switching to Elementor.

I'm wanting to make websites to sell products and promote hotels and flighs affiliate marketing to make some commissions. I am a newbie at wordpress that is getting very overwhelmed and getting confused and frustrated trying to figure out how everything works would you recommenced divi or elementor what one should I go with

I find that Elementor is a lot easier to use than Divi. Both page builders have very strong communities around them which is a huge asset but I like the direction that Elementor is headed and I find that it's easier to use. Also if you're starting out on a budget, it is the most full-featured free page builder for WordPress.

Well thats part of the point of the video, there are going to be all these little niche, fringe builders, that I personally don't even think should be part of the conversation. It's the ones that have the greatest chance is wide spread adoption, the strongest momentum, and a strong financial backing, that are not going to fizzle out.
