I was screamed at more than once for not allowing customers to use our employee bathroom when I worked at a tiny gas station. We kept some boxes of merch and store-use stuff in the bathroom because the store was so small and there were tons of products in the tiny closet-like hallway to get to the bathroom so it just wasn't possible. One guy was sooo mad I couldn't let his little boy use it but it literally could've cost me my job. One poor young guy, who was in there all the time, was about to piss himself one day and had to run out to piss behind the dumpster before we could finish his transaction. I gave him a generous amount of hand sanitizer after he came back in. I liked the kid well enough but I just couldn't let him in the back so I just told him where to stand so the cameras wouldn't see him. Glad none of them were angry enough to shit on the floor but I'd probably have physically removed them from the store before they got a chance.

During a parent teacher conference, there was a parent who did the whole, "Are calling my child a liar?" routine. I thought that was a stereotype, not that these people actually existed. Parent started byaccusing me of all kind of ridiculous things that her child had made up then proceeded to browbeat me about "why would you as a teacher say these things in front of children" After I insisted these things she accused me of did not happen, she gave the "Are you calling my child a liar?" line. I resisted the urge to say "Well, everyone's good at something" but tried to tell Parent that her child wasn't working in class. Then Parent loses her temper with "How dare you make my child cry! Just look at her!" At this point, I announced the conference was over and suggested she make an appointment with the principal.

That first one, sounds like a lot someone who had their kids dumped on them by their separated spouse. It's actually a pretty common tactic when one parent wants to get more custody. They dump the kids on their other spouse unexpectedly, usually while they are work, then tell the court they left the kids alone or didn't have dinner for them.

i once volunteered at a culture and heritage lab. me, 2 coworkers (ben and roy) where helping our supervisor, dave, and our boss, linda (all fake names) move some thing from the original location to the new one. 3 thing to note are: 1 that ben and i where a different race than roy, dave and linda (roy, dave and linda are the same race), 2 that dave was a seriously chill but hard working dude, while roy was a slacker who can get heated pretty easily, 3 that linda is one of the sweetest people you meet. anyway, ben and i where minding our own bussiness only to hear roy get angry. appearantly, linda and dave where trying to focus on their task while ignoring roy, who instead of doing his, kept talking to them. roy noticed this and became angry, which somehow set off dave. he told roy to shut up and do his work or leave. linda wanted to dismantle the argument but before she could, roy called them racist (all 3 where the same race mind you) and stomped off, never to be seen again. after this insident, roy and dave had quite. the reason why if i recall correctly, is because linda tried to talk roy out of leaving as an employee and dave did not want to work with roy anymore, so he quite to. really a shame, because dave was the hardest working of the two and i really liked working with him. i left at the end of the pandemic, because they could not find any tasks to do for me

Me as a kid. I was 9. I was struggling not to cry when I found out that the slushie machine at our Wal-Mart was broken back when they still had a snack bar. I have no clue why that upset me so much. Also, pregnant me whenever I found out somebody ate the last piece of cheesecake I was saving for when a craving would inevitably strike. And one more--my four-year-old if I tell her she has to take a nap because she's cranky. She acts like I'm trying to murder her LOL

Patient ordering me to pick up his bedside phone for him immediately. Just seconds after it started ringing. I was already in the room, standing next to his besld and in the process of doing a blood glucose test. I was wearing gloves handling the equipment as the bedside table was clogged with his belongings... He just had his finger disinfected and pricked and I was about to pick up the droplet of blood with the testing device... He didn't even let me answer that I'll be done in a second and that I'll be able to hand him the phone shortly after. He just huffed, turned hastily and grabbed the phone, all the while complaining about the EKG cables he was hooked up to. He quickly talked to whoever called him. Call was over in less than a minute, wasn't all that important. He turned back to me, apologized and held out his finger. I kept my cool, disinfected his finger again. Pricked again. Sigh... Wouldn't have delayed him to wait out me doing the test. I guess hospital stays can stress people out but he was clearly actively making things more difficult and stressful for himself and the staff.

When I was 17 I worked in a movie theater. I kicked some girl out of a movie for being on her phone. 10 minutes later this HUGE Hell's angels biker comes in, GRABS ME BY THE COLLAR, PICKS ME UP OFF MY FEET PINS ME AGAINST THE WALL and wanted to know why I kicked his daughter out of a movie and that the hell's angels would be looking for me. When I left work I had to leave out the back as there were 40 hells angels bikers waiting for me out front.

Why is this not being considered a coincidence here? It's not like all black people are superstitious this way, it has nothing to do with race more than likely, might even be because they all are from the area. They make it seem like this is just inherently black rather than a lot of black people that live there may go to church or something....and I'm not religious but the crossroads of reasoning is more common and makes sense. (30:20)

Seriously. I was so baffled during that story why they felt the need to comment on everybody's race. It was completely superfluous to the point and only served to make the writer sound racist af.

Other passengers on a flight to Cagliari (Sardinia, Italy). No turbulence, no rain, no fog. The airport is just located at the end of a bay. The approach was over water... Many people looked around concerned, shifting around in their seats... Sigh... What did they expect flying to a costal town on an island with otherwise quite rocky, mountainy landscapes and very little flat areas around the coast and some (seasonal) riverbeds? Did they expect the plane to land like a helicopter? Cagliari isn't even a especially complicated approach. It's not Madeira, or Innsbruck or that carribian(?) island where the beach is just behind the fence...

Story 20 - totally the server's fault. The customer had a normal reaction to telling the server to not mess with their table, and the server ignoring her just because they didn't care what she had to say.
@yufi305Ай бұрын
No, the customer was mumbling and the server didn’t hear her. It’s nobodies fault really. It was a miscommunication situation.

Honestly, for story 6, those cops fully justified her entire freakout with that "we could have shot you" line. She thought she was in danger and she was correct, the fact she overreacted doesn't make that untrue.

I was at a trading card tournament, and this guy who I'd seen there before got matched up with me. I managed to beat him but not without losing one of the three games. Shortly after our game, he proceeded to rip his entire deck to shreds before throwing it in the trash. For context, this is about $100 worth of cards.

@BrassBoy-ot4syАй бұрын
Actually, blank people do tend to be quite superstitious, so it is only natural that they would freak out over a dead body. And there is nothing wrong with pointing that out. Stop being over-sensitive.
@BrassBoy-ot4syАй бұрын
@@ambition00431What a rubbish idea! OP was not racist at all. Simply pointing out that they were black and scared of a cadaver is not racist. I come from Africa and can confirm blank people are superstitious.
