Our art teacher accidentally set 2 fires in one year. One was in the photo lab. Kids were developing photos, she had set things up for them but either someone mixed chemicals wrong or something sparked. There was smoke filling the room that had 6 kids in it. A teacher walking by saw the smoke and opened the door. Asked the kids if they noticed the smoke, they said yes but did not think it was a big deal. The art teacher was in the class room going over the other students work (she would run back and forth as the dark room was next door). After they got the kids out a real fire did start and was quickly dealt with. Then a few months later she went to check one of the kilns to see if it was done. There was flames coming out of it that were not normal. Some kids had left some newspapers in their pieces because the pieces needed to be at least a foot tall. They just assumed that the paper would burn up and the pieces would be properly supported during firing. The next year she told us she is not allowed to have another fire for about 5 years.

My chemistry teacher started a fire. He dropped some Na into some H20 and it bounced out in a fireball onto the stack of papers he didn't clear from his desk. He panicked and dumped the rest of the water on the burning paper causing the rest of the sodium to flare up and fill the room with smoke. Good thing there wasn't much of it. The fire alarm went off and they evacuated the school. The entire following week the vice principled was in our class teaching lab safety while the teacher sat in the front row looking like a sad puppy. At least we learned something in that class.

I survived Detroit public schools! I keep telling you people that are not enough terabytes😂😂😂 9 gun related incidents in one semester! A fight that landed a classmate in juvenile hall in ninth grade. She hit a girl in the head with a padlock. A student brought a gun to a haunted house event..shot himself in the leg while showing it off. Principal got caught embezzling thousands of dollars from an already underfunded school system...his nickname was chicken wing because he had a paralyzed arm.

Freshman year, several of my female classmates brawled after school, one of them had a seizure and never came back, while everyone else were suspended for the rest of the year (there was like a month left in the school year anyway). It was the talk of the school and we had an assembly about it.

I think the biggest drama at my Catholic all-girls high school would be pretty mundane in comparison to everyone else’s told. What happened was, there was an out lesbian in my graduating class, and he (came out as trans after graduation so I’ll use he/him pronouns) wore a suit instead of a dress. For some reason, the admin made a huge fuss about everyone not “matching” or something, despite past graduates doing the same as him. So we had to redo the photos (I was sick for the retake so I looked terrible). Everyone was mad. We all wore ties in solidarity, but it didn’t change anything. I still think that’s the maddest I’ve been for someone else I personally know.

When I was in high school (not in the USA and private school), the owner was also the principal. We knew he had been involved with students in exchange of something. He was always flirting with me and a friend if mine. That guy also owned a modeling agency. Since we were in another one instead of his, he tried to expel us from high school. He ended up not being able to because I tape-recorded that conversation. It was a huge drama 😂

My 4th grade math and science teacher literally bullied me and my friend, let’s call her R. Me and R complained, but it took until the end of the year until she left. Wasn’t even fired. This lady literally yelled at me for not logging out of a computer properly (I was, ya know, in fourth grade and I had never signed out of computers before) Same teacher also yelled at me for my folder being “too full” Oh, and at a different school, bomb threat lockdown (it was a fake threat) and a soap dispenser catching on fire because of people… engaging with a certain type of leaf, so to say

Not as big as the ones posted but: A kid in my school was smart but lacked common sense. He hacked the school records and told his friend. Friend said prove it and he gave friend all the locker numbers/combinations to the built in locks. That weekend, friend entered the schools with a printed list and stole everything he could sell in all the lockers. Kid was expelled, friend went to jail. Later the school removed all the locks, put them in a bucket and put them on different lockers.

We had a Guy named Jeremy S. went to our high school. He murdered a Little black girl in a circus circus bathroom. His house was a few blocks away from my house.
