What is the budget or cost of Spiti Valley Trip in 2024 | Spiti Valley Trip Cost by Car, Bike, Taxis

Are you wondering about the budget or cost of Spiti Valley trip that you are going in this season? Or do you want to validate if the cost of some package Spiti Valley tour given to you is appropriate or not?
Well in this video I did a detailed budget or cost analysis of Spiti Valley road trip.
The budget or total Spiti Valley trip cost depends upon many factors and preferences of person to person. The cost will vary if you are traveling to Spiti Valley by car or by bike or if you are renting a taxi in Leh or you plan to take a bike on rent for Spiti trip or maybe you want to use shared taxis in Spiti valley.
All these modes of travel for Spiti trip will incur different costs. If I consider our most common itinerary of the Spiti Valley trip for 9 days, I can divide the Spiti Valley trip cost analysis into two categories
1. Cost of Stay in Spiti Valley and Cost of Food in Spiti Valley
If you are going with the budget hotel or guest house having decent comfort, eating decent quality food, and including only mandatory miscellaneous charges then you may need to shell out Rs 8100 - 10800 per person for your Spiti itinerary of 9 days.
2. Cost of Travel on Spiti trip
a) When doing Spiti Valley trip by your own bike, you are looking at about ((Rs 8100 se Rs 10800) + (Rs 7000) = (Rs 15100 - 17800)) as the total cost of Spiti Valley road trip.
b) When doing Spiti Valley road trip by your own car, you are looking at about ((Rs 8100 se Rs 10800) + (Rs 3500) = (Rs 11600 - 14300)) as the total Spiti Valley road trip cost.
c) When doing Leh Ladakh trip by self-drive rented bike, you are looking at about ((Rs 8100 se Rs 10800) + (Rs 16000 - 17800) = (Rs 24,100 - 28,600)) as the total budget for Spiti Valley trip.
d) When traveling by privately hired taxi in Leh and reaching Leh in public/shared transport, you are looking at about ((Rs 8100 se Rs 10800) + (Rs 7800 - Rs 8100) = (Rs 15900 - 18900)) as the total Spiti Valley trip budget.

As far as i know buses are running between manali and leh. Rest just check the rains update at Manali side, Ladakh in itself is rain shadow region so not much rains usually happen there

Rameez bhai, day wise it looks fine to me and the route wise too. However, Honda City will struggle on some sections especially the road from Gramphu to Kunzum Pass on the way to Spiti Valley from Keylong. You should be able tk manage most other parts of the trio except this one which can get very tricky for a car with low ground clearance

On devil's wheel suggestion, we decided to contact one of the recommand taxi for our spiti trip and it turned out to be a fantastic decision It is not possible to completely explore a place without a helpful tour guide who knows everything about the place. We were very lucky to have someone like Sanjay ji and Dalip Negiji. Dalipji is a very humble person and arranged for one of the best driver / guide for us. Dalipji has a fantastic tent in chutkul and you must plan to stay one night in chitkul .. one of the most beautiful place we visited in India. They both were so knowledgeable about the entire Spiti which can not be expressed in words. Our vacation was totally worth the time and money we spent on it because we explored so many new places. It was all because of Sanjuji. His constant efforts that we could visit those beautiful abodes He not only knows about the best hotels,restaurants but also guided us on where to take photos where we can visit red fox, blue ship, ibax .. he always kept cool throughout the journey. All the time we felt as if he was a family member. We will always remember Sanjuji as the person who knows everything about the Himachal mountains. I have been once in Spiti Valley, going again in June '23 alone, if any of your follower is planning same and planning to go alone may plan the trip with me. I will go from Delhi to Manali by Volvo, rent a bike from BRM in Manali and it will be 10 days trip: Jibhi Rampur (Chitkul not sure) Sarhan Nako Kaza and back to Manali from same route or Chandrataal route if open that time.

Dheeraj bhai, there is a new notification from Ladakh authorities that ILP is not needed to travel in Ladakh.. But there is quite a bit of confusion around it (Can we goto Chusul/ Hanle now directly? I do not believe they will have Ladakh Carrier over Himalayan. Even though am not sure about the mileage of Himalayan bike, but the Deskit petrol pump in Nubra is operational now and you may not need to carry the fuel for this trip.

Smita ji, you only need Chandratal ePass which is more like a formality checked only sometimes but no harm in filling the form online and applying it to complete the formality of it just to avoid any nuisance. Dheeraj, Please advise the best (value for money) hotels to stay at Narkanda, Sangla, Sarahan, Chitkul, Kalpa, Kaza and Langza. Do you advise booking HPTDC hotels that are there at some of the above places? If yes, please let me know preferred hotels at each of the above places. No ePass required to enter Ladakh but you need negative RTPCR report to enter Ladakh. You only need Inner Line Permit for Ladakh sightseeing which you can get online.

August mostly gets rains in Northern India, but Spiti Valley is a rain shadow region. In general, it remains pretty pleasant mostly, but overcast conditions can make you cold in August too. Hence, light woolens are still necessary.
