What is the DataMart Layer?

Ah, I do like “ datamart” better than “data mart”. Same with “Warehouse” vs “data warehouse”

Agreed. I also really like the idea of a datamart layer being a lakehouse. It adds flexibility for incoming data.

@@ChrisWagnerDatagod Traditionally, the "data mart" is a subset of the "data warehouse". We've done this in past in the "semantic model". With MS Fabric, can do as you say, a lakehouse. Shortcuts and Direct Lake could make this interesting.
