What is the difference between high G and low G ukulele?

So I just learned there is a low G for ukes. I did not know this. Man I'm enjoying the wee editing tricks you are doing with your videos. I might need to "steal" an idea or two from you, for homage reasons of course haha. keep up the good work

That's good - I try and pitch my instructional videos at a level where people who have never heard of what I'm talking about can get it - which probably means they're not much use for advanced players but hopefully useful to some!

I can manage the clicking fine, though if I'd done outtakes, I did fail to get C, F and G right once!

Can you use the same ukulele for a high G and a low G ? If so would I have to use different gauge strings. Many thanks Martin

You can yes... But you need a specific string. You only need to change that one string, the G. You can buy single low G strings (my favourite is the Fremont Squeakless)

So I only watched a minute and a half and then I saw in the comments what I wanted to know that you do need to buy another string for your ukulele or hopefully for your other ukulele. I wish you would have told us this in the video to begin with that is what people want to know.
