ABOUT SUMERIAN ASTROLOGY
Sumerian astrology dates back to at least 3100 BCE. The original sidereal zodiac contained 18 constellations. Sumerian astrological tradition was adopted by the Babylonians who reduced the sidereal zodiac to the 12 zodiac signs still used by tropical astrologers, and practitioners of Jyotish, or Vedic astrology.
Sidereal astrology uses the literal placement of the planets in the constellations. Tropical astrology recons the vernal point (spring equinox) as 0 degrees of Aries. However, the vernal point has not been at 0 degrees of Aries for over 2,000 years, rendering the tropical zodiac inaccurate by 23 degrees.
Sumerian and Babylonian astrology yielded accurate descriptions and predictions for at least 4,000 years. However, Babylonian astrology was adopted by the Greeks, who created and applied both the element-modality system and erroneous planetary-rulership system to ancient astrology, resulting in inaccurate associations, which remain in use in modern astrology, and influenced Jyotish (Vedic astrology) heavily.
As a sidereal astrologer, I use the actual placements of the planets in the constellations for all of my astrology readings, natal chart and birth analysis, and all of my sidereal forecasts and astrology horoscopes. I also use the original meanings of the planets and constellations as they were found in Sumerian and Babylonian astrology.

The tropical was introduced to throw us off, the Roman catholic church, Jesuits etc are responsible for this. They didn't want us finding our true divine right. It matters what days you do your spiritual practices on, in order to receive your divine gifts. If I went into details I'd be writing a book lol for those that know how the christ seed rises during this time, should understand why these days are crucial for enlightment , healing etc. I try to go between the 2 or just do it for the whole week lol

Sort of, but the first "house system" as we think of it was developed in Babylon. But they didn't attribute strict meaning to it in the way the Greeks did. There is a way to attribute meaning to it, but it's a whole thing :D

The Krodhi Nama Samvatsara, which begins on April 9th, 2024, is a significant year in the Hindu lunar calendar. Let’s delve into its details: Name and Significance: The term “Krodhi” comes from Sanskrit and signifies anger or fury. Each year in the 60-year cycle (Samvatsara) has a distinct name, and Krodhi is one of them. Hindus celebrate the commencement of this unique year as Yugadi or Ugadi12. Date and Time: Ugadi 2024 falls on April 9th. The specific lunar day known as Pratipada Tithi (the first day of the lunar month) begins at 11:50 PM on April 8th and extends into the next day, concluding at 8:30 PM on April 9th3. This auspicious moment marks the beginning of the Krodhi Nama Samvatsara. History and Symbolism: Ugadi (or Yugadi) signifies the advent of a new era. According to tradition, on this day, Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe, initiated the process of creating the world. Ugadi symbolizes the arrival of spring, renewal, and the promise of a better tomorrow. It’s a time of joyous celebration with loved ones3. Traditions: Ugadi is marked by several unique traditions: Ritualistic Oil Bath: People take an oil bath for purification. Neem Leaves: Consuming neem leaves symbolizes health and well-being. Festive Atmosphere: Families come together to celebrate and exchange good wishes3. Eclipse Connection: While the Krodhi Nama Samvatsara itself is not specifically associated with eclipses, it’s essential to note that celestial events can influence astrological interpretations. Eclipses, especially solar eclipses, hold significance in Hindu astrology. If an eclipse occurs during the Krodhi year, it may add further layers of meaning and impact to astrological predictions. However, the Krodhi year itself is not inherently tied to eclipses

My understanding is that the distance travelled by the centre of a circle is equal to the amount the circle has rotated: dCentre/C = total rotations. Tropical and Sidereal astrology is really an example of the Coin Paradox in action. If a circle is rolling continuously around a shape, the circle centre goes round the outside increasing its distance travelled by +1 of the circumference of the circle: d centre = P + C / N + 1. However, if a circle is rotating "within" a shape the distance travelled by the circle's centre decreases by one circumference of the circle, making the total number of rotations N - 1. If the circle is rolling along a flat line the distance travelled by the circle centre is equal to the length of the line: L / C = N. This principle is essential for astronomy for accurate timekeeping. When we count 365 days going by in a year, 365.24 to be precise, we say we are just counting the number of rotations the earth makes in one orbit around the sun. However, all this counting is done from the perspective of "you" on earth. To an external observer, they would see the Earth do one extra rotation (N+1) to account for its circular path around the sun. So while we count (from the perspective of earth) 365 days in a year, the external observer would count 366 (this is called a sidereal year, with sidereal meaning "with respect to the stars" -- and where an external observer would be). But what happens to that 1 extra day? A normal solar day is the time it takes the sun to be directly above you again on Earth. But the Earth isn't just rotating it's also orbiting the sun at the same time. So in a 24-hour solar day, the Earth actually rotates more than 360 degrees (+ 0.986 degrees). But Earth's orbit is negligible to distant stars, so to see a star directly overhead again Earth just needs to rotate exactly 360 degrees. So our sun takes 24 hours to be directly above you again (when we also account for rotation and orbit), but for a star at night it only takes 23 hours, 56 minutes, and 4 seconds (23:56:04) for it to be directly above you again (this is called a Sidereal day). This explains where the extra day goes in a sidereal year. So the solar day and the sidereal day are different and we would see them slowly diverge throughout the year, after 6 months, the sidereal day would be 12 hours ahead of the solar day and it would continue until it is one full day ahead at which point a new year in orbit begins: 365.24 x 24:00:00 = 366.24 x 23:56:04 and both are equal to 8765.76 hours. So it actually makes no sense to use Sidereal time on earth because 6 months down the line day and night would be completely swapped which would be incompatible with our perception and relationship to solar activity (midnight would look like midday and vice-versa). But it is equally useless to use Solar time while tracking objects in space because the region you're observing for example, between, 10pm one night and 10pm the next night would shift. So instead, astronomers use Sidereal time for their telescopes to ensure that they are looking at the same region of space each night. So the way we track time on earth and how we track time in the universe are different.

And moon placement and volume in relationship to the position of the Sun, impacts on visions, clairvoyance and planetary impact on your life... Fundamentally we need to acknowledge Tropical astrology, in tying stellar observation to earth cycles isn’t following the stars, it’s using them as reference points for earth energies. It is therefore actually a kind of Geomancy. The astrological perspective will still come into view with degrees of aspects and positioning, but it’s not a purely astrological system really. It’s a geomantic type of astrology.
@sumerianastrology
@sumerianastrology 2 ай бұрын
Hi @theindigomagickian I'm all for following the earth cycles, but tropical astrology doesn't have anything to do with that, at least in its current form. The equinox doesn't occur anywhere near 0 degrees of Aries anymore. I'm open to ideas, but as it stands, the tropical zodiac has nothing to do with the current equinoxes or placements of the planets.

@@rayna6635 You mean with tropical being one and sidereal the other? If that's so, why would the tropical have anything to do with either? One might as well pick a random place on the zodiac, say that it's the starting point of Aries, and say it's inner/outer world. The location of 0deg aries as the starting point of the zodiac was relevant for a handful of years out of the last 26,000. Why 0deg aries? Why not Taurus, or Gemini, or anything else?

Yes, there's definitely a lot of overlap; even with the meanings of the constellations. For me, the issue is, which is the most accurate. In my experience, Tropical/Classical yeilds about 50% acuracy. Sidereal/Classical yeilds 75%. But when you apply the original meanings of the constellations to the Sidereal placements, you get 100% accuracy. Thanks again for taking the time to watch and comment ❤
