5:50 The baloon test? Really? If both of the receivers are at the same pressure, it will take the same amount of time to fill the same space, until the receiver has to be topped up. Don't see the point.

I got myself a silent air Compressor and love it. So quiet and still enough power to feed the plasma cutter and all tools that I need. Me and my neighbours love it 😁

@@MachineryNation It is a smaller one with a 50 liter air tank but still enough power. Love it. Will Upgrade to a bigger one if I can get a sand blaster

Hey any reason why they now put the drain valve on the side as opposed to the bottom? How does one drain the water? Do i need to tilt it to get the eater out if any?

Some quite mean comments on this vid. I disagree, was quite refreshing to have a bit of a laugh when showcasing SGS range. I watch most of your videos - including the other sister channels and like the style of presenting and honesty with bloopers and things that make you laugh. Also, good to see these products being used etc. Only thing I would have hoped for (as a lazy consumer) is some sort of summary table at end with stats on model name, CFM stats, bar pressure capabilites etc.. but again all on SGS website one presumes. Keep up the great vids chaps.

i had (well still have until i take it to tip) a portable compressor with the handle and until i recently inherited a 200ltr Clark belt run compressor i didn't realize how loud the portable one was, ok on start up it is a little louder but the Clark one with the belt makes less noise then my hoover only issue i have is it came with loads of attachments ie tool lubricator, air filter and tire fill part and they are all totally different air line fitting to the ones (industrial) i have so its going to be fun changing them all as there is 20+ of them lol but i find the bigger compressor makes much less noise then the portable ones that i have owned.

Most home DIYers seem to be using smaller 5-10L compressors which run "silent" and are only around £100. There are so many out there ould you compare or recommend one? :)

Glad you took me up on my idea, I have an ABAC oil-free compressor from SGS. It is a pro version but made in China and looks very similar to other compressors. For blowing out my chainsaws and running small air tools I am happy with it. SGS were not the easiest company to deal with but they gave me a fair discount for the delays in getting my machine.

The last test should have been with the motor running to see how much it compensates continuous use right after it hits the refilling threshold. (both set to restart at the same amount of psi)
