The Art of Walking by Austin Seder is the best recent PCT doc, in my opinion. Extremely well made, humorous, good pacing, and shows the trail in all of its facets.

Hey :-) Awesome to see that "Tell it on the mountain" is featured here. I am Sauerkraut, the guy who got injured. In my days all movies from Squatch and also from Team Bad Wizard were awesome too

Sauerkraut! Tell it on the Mountain was the documentary that got me hooked on the PCT. I've seen it probably 100 times. So happy you got to come back and finish the trail after your injury. My first attempt last year ended at Cajon Pass due to several factors, but I know I will go back and finish one day. I will section hike for the time being, but thank you for being an inspiration and an example of the determination that thru hiking requires!

It's interesting that you mention re-watching these movies over and over each spring, one of the hiking movies I rewatch each spring is your trip on the Lowest to Highest. I was low-key upset when it got hidden during the Covid lockdowns haha! The music in it is perfect.

Hi there! Im from UK so its all different here but I still enjoy watching people doing PCT and dream on being there one day. I will check those videos too! My fav from PCT was Elina Osborne one, she is sucha cool, laid-back girl, awesome editing too. I am walking John Muir Way from tomorrow here in Scotland, getting ready today and packed up. It only 215 km from Helenburgh to Dunbar but im still new to long distance walking and dont want to go crazy lol Hoping to do in less then 8 days but will see. Love your videos and editing too! Top notch stuff. Cheers for now.

"Do More With Less" was filmed in 2014. I know cause I was on it that year. I am that last dude in the doc talking about having the power to do anything, and how the PCT brought that thinking to my life.

Over the years I have collected around 8 PCT CD's. I have all of Squatch's movies, and several others. Some pretty good, and others not so much. Every once in a while, I binge watch them all, remembering my younger days, and dreaming. That one shot of ADZPCTKO brought tears to my eyes, remembering the three I attended. Just now I'm calling Firefly, who, with her husband, Dennis - Fire Walker - were the Trail Angels in Old Station. We haven't talked in years, and it's time for a fix.

For a modern film, "It is the people" is amazing in regards to capturing the human aspect of the trail. Elina is a master film maker and she has more films on different sections and so on, but this one, for the length really captures the human aspect.

Oh yeah! I just watched Walking The West this past year or so. I did so remind me of the 90s but in a great, nostalgic way. There was an older tv series called Trail Wise or Trail Ways (not sure) that got me into hiking as a teen. It really reminded me of that.

I really wanted "Tell It On the Mountain" to be a great documentary, but I agree with your thoughts that it is lacking in many areas. If the film had just focused on Scotts YOYO it would of been a great piece. At the time it was an incredible accomplishment on the PCT, still is.

My PCT section scenic "movie" has 100 views years later. Terrible music and I'm hidden 99% of the time and not a spoken word. I liked your PCT film the best next to the CT speed record film. I have some New Zealand footage and CT footage and PCT Washington state footage from Years ago I never got around to publishing.
