I just got my rescue diver certification last month and it was such an amazing experience! (Definitely the hardest course by far … as far as the knowledge and physical fitness required but still so much fun!) I’ve been diving for 10+ years and I wish I had gotten it sooner!

Thank you guys for the patience to await this new video!! I finally made it and got over that anxiety of not producing content for so long. Unfortunately between my settings, weather, camera and microphone this is not the BEST quality video, but I figured its better to have something right? Let me know your thoughts, what was the ahrdest padi scuba diving course you have done?

The rescue diver course was the most physically demanding course I thinking of taking it again in a couple of years to keep my skills current. The mouth to mouth while swimming was a game changer for me to appreciate what it takes

If you go on to be an instructor you'll need that skill well tuned, it's part of the IDC and IE exams. And the IE is done in the ocean, so have fun.

welcome back. it is nice seeing your smiling face talking about diving again. rescue for me was mostly physically difficult, (i was one of the smallest people with one of the biggest for my buddy). i did have a bit of advantage with the other aspects being an emt prior to taking the class.

I did mine in Scotland 10 years ago. Great course! Did my deep speciality aswell that weekend. 😂 It was cold ❄ 🥶 and we all kept getting stung by Lion's Mane Jellyfish, there were loads of them! The instructors, scottish waters and jellyfish definitely put us through our paces but the whole group passed!

I started diving early this year and went through rescue and EFR course and finished June 4th and that was by far the best course imo. I learned so much and became so much more comfortable being a dive buddy and a diver!

I am a certified stress and rescue diver. I was a hard course. At one point I became the stressed and anxious diver. But, I stopped, thought about my situation and found the solution why. Since that course I am been a much better diver and dive buddy.

Hi! On my advanced adventure course test day, I struggled with using the compass . It was at night and I was supposed to get from shore to an island just by compass navigation but every few kicks the magnetic card would rotate 40, 50 degrees messing up everything and I just couldn't get it back to the right bearings. I adjusted my swimming direction and it didn't work. Funny that earlier that same day, when I was practicing, it was another destination, the magnetic card rotated a litte bit but I was able to correct it and get to the destination.

I’ve only just see this video somehow! I’ve follows you since your VDK days. And I have to agree the rescue course is possibly the most difficult course and the most rewarding course you can do. As a DiveMaster that’s assisted on multiple courses this year it’s truly an amazing course to take. Physically I was exhausted after my rescue course, i thought 6 years of both beach & pool lifeguarding would help me. But it’s a completely different kind of fitness that you have to have, the CPR & First aid where fine, but the general cardiovascular fitness is different to any other sport that I’ve done compared with diving. A great video Katt! One that I could see myself sharing with students with permission of yourself & with my LDS

You don't need a lot of dives to take the rescue diver course. In fact, the rescue diver course may do more to help get you more comfortable diving than logging dives. I'd recommend taking it sooner than later.

I didn't feel that rescue was that hard, well except for when they tried to drown me while I was the victim, it was physically demanding but not really hard. But I took it very late in the typical diver progression since I was already a tech diver, I just wanted to support my local shop and see what the fuss was about. The only PADI course that I felt accomplished at the end of it was cavern. I took it as a single tank safety course completely separate from my cave journey. But it was the first time that I had clear objective performance standards that I had to meet.
