It is such a powerful feeling. Mine was how he said my name in a baby voice and started doing these silly voices and literally I just feel in discust. And it is so weird as my ex useto do baby voices and silly and I found it amazing and loved it. 100% go with the Ick feeling. From smell to voice to mannerisms. It's your body talking to you.

From my experience, there are different things that trigger the ick in men and women. Men get icked out by signs of potential disloyalty and women get icked out by signs of weakness

if your single, don't listen to anything these people are saying. They're all speaking from a place of being married or in a ralationship. You'll never find the perfect one and they will always be things that piss you off about someone. The key is to find enough common ground to be able to build something special

The ick is real! It happens and we can’t predict it. It means they aren’t right for us and to continue the search lol

What you are saying is to ignore your intution and settle? Nah. I'm good. Rather be single forever than date someone who turns me off.

Dr. Ish Major, spoke some true facts! "Let them go! Don't rob you and their happiness, because what one person doesn't like another person loves you mutually quirks and all" not word for word... but he spoke some facts on that one. So true. 🙌🏾🥰

No wonder relationships don't last anymore and over 50% of marriages end in divorce. We're being conditioned to find faults in each other and instead of trying to come up with a solution to the faults we're being told to just write that person off. Imagine calling yourself a psychiatrist/relationship "expert" and actively trying to make people question the relationships they're in.

Relationships used to last a lifetime in the past because people (specially women) would put up with every type of crap from their partner. It was very stigmatized to get a divorce. So yes, relationships don’t last anymore because ppl have learned that they’re allowed to say no and that they deserve better than some so so relationship

@@Meelfdh These days it's mainly women who want to get married. Most men don't believe in marriage. Marriage in most circumstances does not benefit the man in any way.

Nah. I don't think this is a modern thing at all. I think it's primitive and deep within our instincts to have this Ick feeling. X

Fucking hell, this is so not true. One thing is a having a gut feeling other is when you “ick” with all people around… that’s a sort of issues within us needed to be address. The fuck is all this… all the content on dating out there seems to be in order to keep us is single and miserable and just self centered.

Good and important point. Our lack of tolerance for others (sometimes translated as "the ick") which can be converted into anger or frustration is a sign of lack of acceptance within ourselves. When we run from a potential partner because of something we don't like, we're really just running away from confronting some deeper wounds in ourselves.

Bad advice. Shouldn't have expected anything less from this show. Thee is attachment issue factors to ick. Would you go around telling people of they are sabatoging relationships, finding problems and pushing people away due to childhood trauma from ACES or abuse for example that it's just because this person they are pushing away isn't right for them. Well that's what you just did. Terrible advice. Next
