Wow, the Immersive Reader is awesome, I'm blown away. I can see so many potential uses for it, as a Speech Language Therapist working with school age students. Question - how can you print what you see in the immersive reader (e.g. syllables, or parts of speech)? If you can't, PLEASE add this feature :-)

Is the immersive reader not available for one note app for tablet/android?

I have immersive reader and I love it; I also have the paid version of Microsoft Office 365 and use one note to store a lot of information, including all my passwords in its safe feature. I was horrified to find that all my info had disappeared, passwords and all. After attempting to contact Microsoft for answers with out success, I just gave up after having had no reply. I found out about immersive reader here on KZbin, but I understood that I needed One note for Windows 10, to find it under the View tab, so I installed it mainly for the immersive reader. However, I have recently found, almost a month later, that after that installation all my missing Microsoft files appear to be now in One Note for Windows 10. I would prefer to use Microsoft 365, but the two don’t seem to sync on the same laptop, and if I remove One note for Windows 10, I lose Immersive reader. So cut this long story short, why is Immersive Reader not available on the paid vision of Office, according to this video, it appears to be capable of working with apps of all kinds, but not with Microsoft’s own programmes.

Wow!! I am blown away! I've been using software, reading rulers, and so many of the tools you've mentioned, and I am so happy to see Microsoft tackling each of these issues to offer universal design for learning, writing, and reading... for free with Word! I am now a doctoral candidate (yes, someone with learning disabilities almost done with a doc program) and am so excited to use these features as I finish my dissertation! Thank you so much!!! Question: will Microsoft offer a dyslexic font option?

so I would like to give some feedback on immersive reader feature. So just starting college and having to read tons of material in short periods of time has never been easy for me. The teacher recommended the immersive reader feature. Ok so the online book opens and gives options to open in different formats ( ie immersive reader) and its literally the entire book, credits , fine print , disclosures , publishing info etc. its very confusing at times when im listening to the book and all of a sudden its reading the fine print at the bottom of the page that doesnt really have anything specifically to do w/ what im reading. Also if there is an ellipsis or underscore it reads it as such. Example if the sentence is an exercise in the book and it has a fill in the blank instead of reading as . Claire went to the _______ , "blank" it say " underscore underscore underscore underscore" like twenty times or however long the blank is , that is very difficult to follow along. Seems with so much AI out there , you could more easily read a text book and leave out non relevant information. Also its just one long page of reading , there is no division of pages or chapters, no way to really know how far i am in the book , so i can just read/ review chapters 1-4 and go back and do 10-12 , its so extremely difficult to try to find where you left off at .

Are these features only available on the online version of Word? I have the PC version and the immersive reader is nothing like this at all. I can't even change the font. Also, you should add the font open-dyslexic to this feature; it makes a world of difference.

It appears that it's up to STUDENTS to figure out (perhaps with teacher help) whether they would benefit from this tool and how to use it. There's nothing the teacher needs to do in advance when building the web site or document. P.S. It grates on my ear, Sonia, to hear an English teacher say "most favorite."

how do you get immersive reader to read a script. it reads boring. normally when you read a script you don't read your characters name you say the line under neath it, but the immersive reader reads everything, so how can we use it to read only a portion of a document instead of the whole thing or how do you you use it to skip everyother line.

I want to like this, I'm eager to see aids for dyslectics, the wide spacing is much harder for "me" to keep my place from line to line I'd even loose place before the end, we all have different ways off seeing with oddly different changes I can't rhyme another indicator that shocked me, it's rarely written down as a symptom I really want to try Beeline reader for more than a sample, that thing is a mess to register and add to a... I had it years ago and found it again the other day, and its pretty nice. I have very little spare time, this past year. so I couldn't spend a couple hours trying to get the setting figured out and keep them works after updated software outpaced me. words with 3 diff spellings, [pay-shunt] drive me crazy & as do e.i. and eg rules that....... seem not that bad. Dyslexic Fonts with small or unique, irregularities. Like a pencil might leave . where or both screen and printers fonts, now with 1 or 2 fonts given away 4 us to use. worst is structuring a paragraph, paper and editing

Excelente tool, but I would not use it to translate, at least in Spanish. The translation sometimes does not make sense, and the grammar is not well-structured. This video is from two years ago and may have been upgraded by now.
