It would be really helpful if Kicker made a four channel version of this product, and even better if it could also generate a subwoofer output in addition to the four main channels.

I think it restores and give a full range signal so you can run full signal to a dsp or a amp to allow it to do the equalization
@smiththers25 ай бұрын
we NEED to get some of these... we do a lot of factory integration, even with dsp that i feel this would make a world of difference

@Five Star Car Stereo Really appreciate you taking the time and effort to demonstrate how these products actually work and what to expect/look for in actual use. WAY more manufacturers should take their own initiative to produce these type of videos that actually demonstrate the features, real world use, and/or any limitations of their products! (Although, maybe it's better that they keep hiring you to produce and provide these videos, as it's more money in your pocket...I hope). Either way, this would help to educate not only the consumer, but also their dealers and retail shop personnel/installers...many of which I have found recommending products that weren't suited to solve the issue(s) at hand, or at least were by far not the best option! If more car audio brands did this, they would sell more product, have fewer returns, and have much happier customers that would recommend more of their products to others. But even when the product itself isn't at fault because it was used in the wrong application, the Brand and/or dealer/shop looks bad and gets a bad rep. As we know, a "LOC" is not always just a "LOC". Each Brand & Model often has unique features as well as specific limitations (i.e. input voltage limits, output voltage adjustability, remote turn-on/off capability, signal summing, etc.). Manufacturers and car audio brands need to do better, and short videos such as this would go A LONG WAY towards that end. Some are working towards this, but still not enough. Cheers

Does this device also stop the bass roll off?? You never turned up the volume like you did before setting the KEYLOC to see the change when increasing the volume??

Man that was so cool! Can you please do something similar with the key 200.4!?
@theradioison2 ай бұрын
Would love this as well since the 200.4 doesn't adjust incoming signal to flat but listens to the output and adjusts it to a house curve. Would love to know what that target curve is.

It works but I have issues with the noise floor. It creates a hiss and created alternator wine. It's not very loud but noticeable enough for me to not use it. I have 2k in aftermarket equipment and I'll use my Bluetooth dsp rather than the kicker keyloc

Will this work like Accubass? I understand it can fix the frequencies if it’s not there from the start. However, will it correct it if the roll off comes at high volumes ?

Love your videos!! Question: Will the KeyLoc fix factory bass rolloff?
@JasonWW20005 ай бұрын
It depends. It can correct the roll off by up to 12dB. For example, if the factory roll off starts at 40hz with a 12dB slope it can fully correct it and make the response flat. If the vehicle has a lot of bass roll off, it may not be able to correct all of it. It can pull up the lowest frequencies 12dB.

Question: I have A 2012 WRX base that I am installing A Key 200.4 in. I have the Loc Pro LPHNI03 T harness for install. The harness has A fused power input that is run off of the head units power. Is there any downsides to powering the 200.4 off of this? Also, for ground I'm thinking of using the headunits metal chasis.

Run power to the car’s battery! The radios power wire is not sufficient to power this amp.
