Anyway, low score challenge. This was torture. I know it seems cheap to use savestates but seriously this stuff is annoying. If you didn't have to wait 8 minutes to do a frame perfect jump, I wouldn't have used them. But that's just stupid.
This is my longest challenge video to date. SMG2 min transformations was technically longer but a lot of it was uncut footage showing clears of the stars. I think I'll definitely do some low score stuff again in the future but hopefully in an easier game, haha.
As for why I censored the score, it would just get confusing if I cut to old footage where I have a lower score. I feel having the current total on screen at all times is much easier to digest.
I was talking to Sleeve Gaming and we do think there's a slight chance that the score could go down a bit more in the ghost house. If you can somehow get a star over there and kill one of the boos, it would screw up the flagpole's increasing point chain. But god knows how we'd get a star there.

Congratulations Mayro! =) I'm so glad that you found my video useful and that you were able to even get close to my score. This run is stupidly difficult. Regarding the last 2 bosses, I'm not sure why that you cannot end it with 0 on the clock but my guess is that those particular bosses use a special boss transition to allow a cutscene to play afterward. Because of that, the timer will just kill you when it reaches 0.

9:51 Your doing something very similar to what speedrunners do call, 5-4 Skip. A series of precise jumps allow you to beat the level without using the platform as it is much faster. For a consistent strategy, after you land on tbe last "?" block, run and jump and at the peak of your jump propeller into a little hole where enemies drop. If you start sliding or don't feel yourself land, do two wallkicks to get up the end. Finally, run across it jumping twice, and then once you fall, delay using your propeller until your low enough that the last falling bombomb does not hit you.

The answer to the question is the following: You can go to the red toad house (and if you want, check the pattern by going row by row and looking up that pattern) and get a propeller mushroom (No mini mushrooms for reasons he explains later) and do the momentum glitch and then use the propeller to get up to the top of the flagpole.

5:17 E. Jump between the coins After watching 10:41 B. If each boss gives you 4000 points then it would be still less than getting points from the boo hoos and also you can skip the levels where enemies are with the flagpole in the same screen

Bosses doesn't give 4000 points, they first give 2000, then 2000, then 4000, totaling 8000, and you would have to defeat 2 bosses, so it isn't worth it.

Me and my parents played this game and we mapped out every Toad house panel mini game and would hit the top left corner and eliminate other maps that didn’t match. Then hit the bottom right. We didn’t look them up to see if they had any of these maps online but there are only a few variations.

Just a couple things - in 5-4 there’s a consistent way to beat the end, just watch a speedrun because we skip the level. - - In 8-A you complicated the second room soooooo much, again just watch how we do it in the speedrun to make it way easier.

i remember replaying 1-7 with my sister all the time when we were younger. We'd pretend it was a roller coaster and instead of riding it we'd fall off and laugh at it for hours. We were/are weird.
