@1:03:00 The weather here is set to Snow the whole fight and can't change. There's a momentum effect from the crowd, the better fighter gets more stats @1:46:55, Dugtrio does infact have an ability that raises it evasion in Sand Storm, its call Sand Veil. @2:13:30 the Second Koraidon is the alpha that cripples our buddy, also you can later capture it.

1:25:51 in your defense, the reason you didn't use yawn against the last titan was because your piggy was taunted so he couldn't use any non-attacking moves. It was a change in strategy necessitated by the circumstances. Just too bad you had to do the whole battle all over again.

It's been a while since I played through Scarlet, but I'm gonna take an educated guess. You need at least 3 pokemon for auto-battles in the star bases, so 2 battles for wild encounters. Each star base requires something like 25-30 auto-battles (serebii says 30, I'll take that) plus the leader fight, then Clive and Penny, and i think one of the bases has a pre-base fight, thats 160 for starfall street. Titans is easier, you fight each titan once before the HM and once after, with the exception of dondozo/tatsugiri which is 3 fights, then the arven fight at the end makes 12 for path of legends and 172 total (or 22 real and 150 auto). Nows a good time for the prologue I guess, which I think has one fight against nemona, one against a houndoom, one when you meet arven, another against nemona, then those two star grunts, so +6 there to get to 28 real battles. Victory road I remember a lot less, but it should be 8 leaders, 4 e4, 1 champ, what like 4 nemona fights, im pretty sure you can avoid any sunflora fights, 2-3 extra fights for Iono, you can skip larry trainers if you know the password, another like 2-3 for the ghost gym trainers, and 2 for psychic gym? So 22-23 fights there which brings us to about 50 real fights. Area 0 has 4? 5? Forced fights plus the 2 AI fights? I think? So 7, bringing us to 57-58 depending on the ghost gym, and 150 auto battles. I dont know if the DLC is being included but I havent played those and thus have NO idea. Maybe like, 13 for teal mask, a LOT more if you include the bloodmoon ursaluna thing bc it has a dex requirement, and I know even less about the second second dlc and couldn't give a guesstimate. You shouldnt need any extra battles as long as you have good choices for which 2 extra pokes you catch, as there are enough candies across the map to easily keep pace with the level scaling Edit: forgot tutorial lechonk. +1 Ediit2: lechonk would have been counted in random encounters BUT the second random is probably a gift I'd imagine. Also I forgot that star bases each have a battle, for some reason I only remember the one. Also only 2 Iono trainers means I'm at a net +2 from original guess

Great video, big fan of these runs. I’ve been wondering for a while though what a minimal battles picking up from here into the DLC would look like though. There are a few more Pokémon you could get in the DLC while keeping minimal battles. (Ogrepon, Terapagos, a shiny Munchlax, and all the club room trades in Indigo Disk granted those are trades.) These could allow for a lot of strategy. I also wonder how these battles would differ in Teal Mask between trying to do only Teal Mask by going right into Teal Mask early game VS doing both DLCs post game when Teal Mask is scaled up. Technically in a full game all DLCs run it would be optimal to go to Kitakami to get Munchlax as early as possible so it gets more EXP but aside from that you could pick up the run from here and do the DLC if you wished. It’s something I’ve considered myself but I don’t have a capture card sadly.

For nemona only the final battle after the e4 is mandatory to win, all the others can be lost, tho saying that is almost impossible to lose the very first one because of the AI, it will try its best to not win even if you are trying to lose
