You will be given perseverance and as you hang in there and read His word you will make sense of it better (not perfectly). Visit the book of Romans periodically. God bless you

It does seem like this message is preaching to the converted, and pretty damning at that. 18:02 gets to the heart of the matter and John gets to where we are today. If unbelief is a natural product of being in this world, then it is impossible to naturally believe. Welcoming a blind belief does not settle doubts or aspersions if someone is thinking and reasoning on these subjects. It just gives another thing to say to those who need the affirmation emotionally: it will never give your heart room to breathe. It is important to understand how emotionally limiting this world can be. Revelation needs to be welcomed as written in Romans 12:1-2

Apparently Mr. Piper doesn’t understand, or know anything about, the doctrines and apologetic of Reformed Theology. On Reformed Theology, prior to Creation, the sovereign Calvinist potter God [01] randomly whimsically and impersonally, i.e. for no known reason, draws the names of the elect Calvinist lambs out of an Abe Lincoln hat, [02] the names of the non-chosen non-elect goat people are passed over remaining in the hat, [03] the names of the elect Calvinist lambs the sovereign Calvinist potter God fatalistically predestines to Heaven, [04] the names of the non-chosen non-elect goat people that were left in the Abe Lincoln hat are fatalistically predestined to be barbecued in Hell for the future selfish glory and sadistic pleasure of the sovereign Calvinist potter God, [05] at birth, the sovereign Calvinist potter God fatalistically forces a nature of *”Total Depravity”* on everybody against their will, [06] *”Total Depravity”* is defined as the 100% inability of a reprobate to *seek after, believe in, have faith in, love, or worship, the sovereign Calvinist potter God,* [07] on Reformed Theology *”Total Depravity”* is a *NATURE* of unbelief, [08] on Reformed Theology, it is 100% impossible for a person to have their *"NATURE* of unbelief" removed, *UNLESS and UNTIL* the sovereign Calvinist potter God monergistically Vulcan mind-melds them against their will, i.e. forces them to be “regenerate” against their "nature of unbelief" will and forces them to have “faith” against their "nature of unbelief" will; i.e. does away with their *NATURE* of unbelief.
