The fan blows ozone that drifts out of your mouth away from your face so you don't breathe it in through your nose.

I just used it for first time. Took a few secs to figure out how to breath correctly. Everything went smoothly until I removed it for the 2nd time and I totally forgot and took a quick breath thru my mouth: Arrrg. Not fun! Took a couple grams of Vit C. One thing I notice right off is the plasticky taste in my mouth. I wonder if that's from the device, or from my composite fillings...

Ozone is an oxidizer so the plastic taste would come from the mouthpiece. These devices are designed and manufactured in Germany specifically to use with ozone.

The proximity of nose to mouth makes it such that the intake from the nose will more than likely take some expelled ozone gas into the nose unless the fan is very powerful which would likely dry out your nose tissue.....ever consider a snorkel type mouth piece to avoid this issue?

You would be surprised that a small fan will eliminate all the ozone from escaping from the mouth. A large fan is not needed.

Start off on 30 gam and work your way up. I have this mouth piece. I started at 50 gam breathing through my nose but as I was taking out the piece I inhaled a mouth full of ozone. Ugh! BTW using a floor fan on high. Didnt want to take any chances. Next time ill start low and have some steps to prevent this from happening again. Great product though. Cough! Cough!

I just tried this and although I was breathing through the nose I got too much ozone and was coughing. sore throat and I had a lot of discomfort using for 1 minute. I think I wasted the money on this mouth piece and that I will go back to bubbling the ozone through olive oil. I personally think this is dangerous to your lungs.
