My Filipina and I are only 4 years apart. Our life experiences have drawn us closer. We can relate to each other even though we come from different cultures. We are best friends as well and I feel being good friends is extremely important. Large age gaps is another potential obstacle that needs to be overcome.

Wow. Now I'm really concerned about our age gap. I'm going to meet my LDR girlfriend for the first time in a few months. She is 39 years old; I am 68 years old. I'm positive this age gap would be a challenge in the USA. What about in the Philippines? Also, based on the points made in this video, it sounds like within 10 years, we could more than likely part ways. I would be too old to start over again, but she wouldn't be. So, now I'm thinking, should I continue this false hope of finding my perfect lifelong partner when in reality there's a very good chance it will end in a few years? 😰 Should I not care and go for it? I guessed your age gap is 10 years. That 10 year age gap seems to get smaller as you age… I read most foreign/Filipino age gap relationships are 10 to 30 years, with 20 years being the average. I am 20 years older than my girlfriend. But, some men prefer older women. And age doesn’t necessarily predict who will need the other to take care of them. My mom is 9 years older than my Dad. My Mother’s health is better than my father’s health. She is 87 and has been nursing him for the past year.

I believe the age gap sweet spot depends on the individuals. I’ve seen a lot of 30+ year age gap couples, and it seems to work for them. Since I am being mistaken for 10 years younger than my actual age, my Fiancée is 19.5 years younger, and most people believe there’s only a 10 year gap between us. I had several women I was exploring a relationship with that were 30 (+\-) different, but I didn’t feel they had the life experiences that I believed would result in compatibility. Again, it depends on the individuals, the ages, life experience, etc. If a relationship is built around the proper foundation, though, it comes back to what works for them. You’re both still relatively young, so 9 years is a similar percentage as older couples. I’m 65, and my Fiancée will be 46 in March.

A 10-year age gap feels ideal. A 20-year age gap is still quite good. A 30-year age gap can work, but it starts to feel more challenging. Personally beyond a 30-year difference, I think I’d prefer not to pursue it but everyone has a right and all relationship are different

as a 42 year old, the youngest I'd date is 29. but I'd prefer mid 30's and it would depend on how well we get along. if someone is of an age they can be my daughter, i just couldnt , i would see them as a child and just couldnt. im moving to the Philippines in February and i went on a dating site pinalove and within 2 hours there were 100 women trying to chat i tried to explain age but they didn't care I'm wanting live in the province because I was raised on a farm so the only women I found were young and I kepted telling them and making sure there family approved. so heres the thing Shes 25 and will not take no so we decided to hell with it I'm 65 when I die I will leave her in a better place I'm putting 100s of chickens and a few pigs so she can sell eggs and make money I don't care what people think as long as her family is ok with it.

I live in Chile and you don't see that huge age gap between gringos and chilenas, in fact you don't see a lot of latinoamericanas with foreigners at all. This is a Filipino phenomenon. Probably English being a bridge must be a major factor, but also the fact that marriage to gringos is a survival mechanism among young women who would otherwise have to become OFWs (overseas workers). Low-status men from many Western countries go to the Philippines to find very young, attractive and docile prospective wives or girlfriends, among low-status Filipina women (in a country with 1% super rich and 99% super poor this literally comes with the territory). I say good on them, though culturally-mixed marriages (and even if Filipinas speak English, they are far from being gringas) are never a simple proposition either. Count on Nature though, to always find a way. Races have to mix, the human species must reproduce.

Well this was different........ 🤔 Watching two folks get blitzed and chatting, it is almost like being at a party. 👍 It's true, men do mature slower, so a gap is needed, it can be from 5 to 15 years, 10, to 12, being the sweet spot. I've personally dated down to 20, and they didn’t have a clue of the gap. This is because I keep current, and stay in shape, this is good general advice for anyone, but, if you are going to have a big gap, you’d better bring it! I'll be 70 this year and I still do, I travel, ride motorcycles, and yup, the bits downstairs gets a workout several times a week. 😁

I thionk its not about the age at all, i think that the mindset of both and how matured both are, is more important than the age gap. Of course and they said it correct, the gap should not be too big. My filipina gf is 13 years younger than me and i think we found the same "wave". Things that we like and have in common, the way we talk to each other and the way we care about each other are more important than the age. But its absolutely right to say that, if a man is 30 years older than her, it is not ideal for both.
