I’m with the guy from Nebraska. You’re using the color paddle tails; so, in. The hooks go in.😄 I like in. It seems like the hook will “bite in” vs “roll out” when the fish takes the float. In the end, it’s 6 in one, not quite a half a dozen the other.

For me I use the dropper as the perfect opportunity to tie a Palomar Knot for knot strength. I could still catch the fish if one side of the dropper breaks. Palomar on a dropper also gives you two pressures points on the hook from the line. Not that I think it matters but the hook will not move at all. There you go, now a third option!

Great job with this! I fish the Texas gulf for pompano, whiting and other species with the same rig and had no idea to even consider which way the hook should go. I make my own rigs and I think what I will do on my double rigs is to tie one in and one out and see if one catches more than the other. At the end of the day, it may not make a difference but will see.

Am like this in or out, it doesn't matter as long as your catching fish,🐟🐟🎣, i myself tie my own rigs, float on, float off , tooth pick in one ,no tooth plck in the other, just experiment, hell when the bites on, they will hit a banana peel,, Good Luck 🤞 out there people,, Stay Safe God Bless,, 👍

looks like the side of the hook eye determines the direction the hook moves.....just a thought....

I watched a offshore fishing show a few years ago and they said they tie them going in and it pulls the point of the hook in to the fishes mouth so I’ve been putting mine on going in ever since but I’ve noticed that most rigs tie them going out and I agree with you that both have to work.

Don't think it matters, the offset circle hook doesn't set until the shank has exited the mouth. But "out" seems more logical for circle type hook. I've heard some say that straight shank hook is best for a Pomp rig. IDK.

By looking at all the rigs I think having it go In is best, but with the beed between the float and hook seemed to give more clearance

There's some folks who tie their rigs with snelled hooks facing down. So the hook sinks into the harder lower jaw. The top of a pomps mouth is softer. Makes much more sense

I ve never really noticed for me but from what you just showed it seems rigged outward would be more appropriate for circle hooks, while inside seems rigged inside for jerk style hooks. That s just my observation though. And really don't think it matters. Cheers.

I tie em going out on even numbered days of the month, and tie them going in on the odd days of the month. Aim right down the middle folks....

Geeze, everybody,.their grandmother and their cats making pompano dogs and selling them. It is too ridiculous. It's one thing to sell.your own brand on your site to your fans but flooding the stores with a million versions of the same thing with different reasons why your rig will catch more pompano than the other is insane. While it maybseem like capitalism, if they can make their own rigs, everybody can. Yes, there is the dew.whoncant.or won't and will buy but if you want to fish, learn to tie your own damn rigs of don't bother.
