So, I built your Full Bridge w/o C3 in LTSpice and at 13:08, my simulation results looking nothing like the same circuit built in QSpice OR your test results in the video. Do you have a link to your LTSpice asc file? Thanks in advance, JT

Hi, bravo on the effort. Send me a mail to sam.benyaakov@gmail.com and I will send you the file. However, I think that the size or number of the spikes is insignificant since it is largely affected by the simulation resolution and other randon errors.

In LTSpice, the 3 diode circuit, @ 9:15, what voltage or current source is driving D1 and R6? Thanks, JT

Seems like there should be an X2 capacitor between the AC input lines going into the full bridge rectifier at 13:25...

Maybe the 1N4007 model didn't have a breakdown voltage and what we saw was just from its parallel leakage resistance? Just a hunch. And figure 6 is just :/. Thanks for the educational video.

👍Yu are absolutely right. The iN4007laks BV! in the D model. The default is infinity. I may post a follow up video. Thanks for the observations

I am not sure that the Magazine articles are reviewed. In fact, I have tried in vain to have them publish a review on one of the previous (wrong) articles.

13:59: it's a very bad idea professor, those spikes are going to fatigue the dielectric of the capacitor leading to its premature breakdown. Edit: they'd better embed a 1KΩ into the GS substrate of MOSFETs... It'll save time and money, countless forum posts and KZbin videos while reducing the carbon print of the electronic community, past and future.

The max Vgs pf most MOSFETS is a round 25 V so 400V is impossible. I think that what he meant is putting a bidirectional TVS as I have indicated later.
