How could you forget to mention the best part of the original N64 Toad's Turnpike? When you played it in mirror mode, the cars move in the OPPOSITE direction TOWARDS you! It becomes just as delightfully chaotic as the original Baby Park.

I loved toad's turnpike vaporwave aesthetic in n64. Like you said removing the sunset runed the track and combined with ugly graphics turned it into a generic desert track with oil like mud. I know why they didn't bring back MC 1 but why not MC 2 0r 4 which has been done less

SNES Rainbow Road is the only one I disagree with - otherwise I generally agree Though I find it interesting that Sky High Sundae isn't on the list. That track feels impossible to control and just isn't very memorable otherwise. Definitely better ways to make an ice cream track ^^

I think we're gonna respectfully disagreed on Toad's Turnpike here lol. Not that the Mario Kart 8 versions is bad, because I think it's terrible. I just think it's so much better than the N64 version where it's even worse lol. It's so crowded and you keep getting hit by cars over and over and it makes it not fun at all, at least in the Mario Kart 8 version it's much better because it's more open and you're not constantly getting hit, you can actually play. I think the only place it actually makes sense is in the Wii U version of Battle Mode, as it makes so much sense as a battle mode with all the cars moving all around to constantly hit you rather than as a race track where you're constantly being hit by cars. I don't like Wii U battle mode, but it makes sense there. This is a great video, very glad it got recommended to me! Keep up the great work!

My pick is Sky Garden. Sky Garden is such an awesome course in Super Circuit and DS but its not even the same course in 8D. All of the BCP GBA tracks have butchered track design, but none of them are as bad as Sky Garden. At least Toad Circuit is faithful to its original, Sky Garden just feels so gutted and lame

I like the toads turnpike remake a lot actually and it’s for similar reasons as to why you like the original. I’ve driven from Arizona to California a few times for vacation and there’s just something fun about it for me. Weaving though traffic, the night sky, long open roads in the desert, having some upbeat music on my radio, looking at all the unique cars I drive past, and also having the final destination be a bright city make the track feel like a reward. Also the track is much more fun on 200CC

Extremely based takes all around. Toad's Turnpike is actually my least favorite as well. Seriously, take all my time spent playing MK8DX Toad's Turnpike and subtract it from my lifespan instead of torturing me with that dogshit track. I'm surprised no one mentioned Water Park though. Worst nitro in the game by a mile. Whenever it's picked I genuinely want my $85 back. If they bring it back next game I will backflip off the Burj Khalifa.

Water Park is my 2nd least favorite nitro only behind Bone-Dry Dunes, although I hope that the Waluigi Sea Bed thing in the background of Water Park is a nitro course in Mario Kart 10

I'm just gonna say it right here, Sky High Sundae is my least favorite out of all 96 tracks. Whenever I see this track get picked online, I don't want ice cream or any sweets in general, I want a gun safe to land on my head and kill me also physically impossible. The track looks genuinely lazy as shit, it feels boring to play, and the controls on the track feel like your car is sliding on soap. And it's also a sad excuse just so fans can shut up about there being no anti-gravity. I want to fall asleep every time I play it, but I don't, because I could literally be playing... idk, literally any other track out there.

My least favorite track in 8DX is easily Bangkok Rush, not because the track itself is bad, most of the time I choose it online and the layout is one of the best among the city tracks, but because it was an absolute disappointment. I played the original when it released and it became one of my favorite tracks from tour, and I was really exited to see it in wave 5. But the Nintendo thought it was a great idea to swap Bangkok with LA Laps (which, based on leaks, they were probably done with the track before wave 4 and they were doing decorations, like the Ferris Wheel) before the wave 4 reveal, and in the end we got a version of Bangkok with barely any obstacles, worse visuals (the new skybox is horrible), and many changes I don’t like (missing trick spots, some changes done in the boat section, many mistakes in the song, and the replacement for Tuk Tuks and Inky Piranha Plants being a Sidestepper at the end of lap 2, not even in the train station, which is empty and is missing the obstacle that made the bottom part interesting) I’m shocked that they managed to ruin one of the most popular tracks in Tour, especially since they managed to make Sydney and London (some of the least liked tracks in Tour) more interesting that their mobile counterparts

I actually call it Turd’s Turdpike because of how bad it is. Personally, my least favorite is N64 rainbow road, because the first two sets don’t have any double items, so you actually get punished with no shot of comeback. Get early lead, get coin, get destroyed by red, hope you can maintain middle placement, your dreams of winning are dead.

For me, it's Wii Grumble Volcano. It's not skill issue. It's just not fun, in my opinion. The road is too bumpy to keep drifts and the lack OF road in laps 2 and 3 don't help either. The music is WAY LOUDER than in the OG, very distracting. I'd rather have Bowser's Castle from Mario Kart Wii.

I have Toad Circuit, Mario Circuit 3, and Sunset Wilds circulating as my bottom 3. Crappy visuals, boring layouts, one is a starter course (they don't make for good DLC), one is over-used despite being un-special, and one had its entire gimmick removed, thereby removing its unique identity, and also destroying the reason for ever bringing it back to begin with. Tokyo Blur is the 4th worst for me. Japan deserved better than this. Also yeah, Toad's Turnpike was done dirty in 8. Also screw its battle mode variant.

i actually really like racing on toad circuit and snes mario circuit 3 in 200cc, it's a fun skill-based track without any bs to slow you down and some satisfying cuts to do like the shroomless jump in toad circuit and the various mushroom cuts i play a track like wild woods and it's just not fun at all like, yeah, the track concept is whimsical and the visuals are stunning, but actually during the race it's just an annoyingly difficult split with no clear way to get through quickly and a straight road for the rest of the race with some annoying turns that are hard to get good speed on that's just my experience with the tracks, though, i might just not be super good at the game but i think my opinion is still valid also the toad circuit motif also plays in neo bowser city be careful what you say

Rosalina's Ice World is my pick for the most nothing track ever included in not just a Mario Kart game, but in any racing game. The music is generic ice track shit, it's pointless bringing it back because we have GCN Sherbet Land now, which is also a double-layered ice course, and most importantly, most ice tracks in Mario Kart have at least something. Frappe Snowland/Sherbet Land each have either snowmen or penguins to dodge with beautiful atmospheres, the aforementioned GCN Sherbet Land has Freezies, and 2 layers, Ice Ice Outpost has split paths and a top 5 Mario Kart song, these are things these courses provide. And then you look at Rosalina's Ice World and... IT'S NOTHING! Being barely tied to Mario Galaxy does not make a course unique! It's not the main thing that makes say, Cloudtop Cruise, an amazing course y'know? Since it also has an airship, and you drive through a fucking thunderhead which is super rad.
