There was a point where i couldn't tell if they were both singing or not since their voices are so similar

They both resonate in the same area for sure.

Someone wanna give the reason as to why Casey only had like one singing line in the Riverdale musical episode? He has a better voice than literally anyone else on that show.

I see that too he’s got a really good tenor voice and he actually seems like he has the right kind of voice for Broadway it just depends on if he can do theatrical acting because it’s completely different than acting for the camera

I feel like the parts should have been switched. so Corey can sing Elphaba and Casey should sing Glinda. But I also want to hear Corey sing popular and Casey sing defying gravity
@valerierodriguez-castro67346 жыл бұрын
Michaela H-C True but I also think it was set up this way because in this song Glinda sings higher and has a more demanding part and while Casey has an absolute amazing voice Corey has been doing Broadway for years so he has the better technique and range for Glinda.

Corey's shocked expression at the end is so damn subtle. It really felt like Glinda was aware of being one-upped by Elphaba but couldn't help himself.

this is rlly good!!!! btw does anyone else ever feel like whenever a guy sings a song meant for a girl to sing that it sounds kinda weird in some parts? im sure it’s the key selection. because even when the key is modulated, usually when a girl sings it (i mean if she’s good) she will belt in certain places that these guys are using their lower, more relaxed register in. but the guys do belt the higher parts. just interesting. and same with the opposite, sometimes a girl sings a guy song and the low notes are too low or high notes too high or both.

Not everything translates well. Certainly Defying Gravity does not translate well to a male voice (or at least not my voice..... Despite rekeying it multiple times.) Other songs that just don't translate well to the male voice: Let it go, Fly Fly Away, Your Daddy's Son. Songs that's actually do translate well with a little creativity and adjusting vocal lines once in a while: Gimme Gimme, Ladies who lunch, Part of your world. Every voice is different obviously!
