Over 8 years ago, I found myself on somewhat of an alcohol diet.
I knew I wasn't happy in my relationship with alcohol, but it felt so hard to just quit drinking. So I took a different approach: I stopped trying to stop trying, and just got curious instead.
Through a year of research, I dug into questions like:
How did alcohol actually make me feel?
When did I feel better?
How does alcohol actually affect my body?
And I found the answers to those questions, it turned out that I didn't even WANT to drink anymore. I realized that all of the things that I thought were true about alcohol, weren't true at all. In fact, alcohol wasn't serving me at all!
I decided to put all of this information out into the world, and eventually that information turned into a real book, and so much more that is now known as This Naked Mind!
