I got lucky with mine. No loose legs, arms stay on well enough. Only problem i had was the peg for the scabbard belt would pop out but that was an easy fix. Its a shame how bad the QC was considering how popular this version of Trunks is.

I have a few hundred figures and of all the quality issue it’s the least important and easiest to fix. Take nail polish, put it on the joint, wait for it to dry, put back the arm, boom done problem fixed.

Saw your Goku Black video and started checking out the rest of your content - this is another figure I got in on the first run and was thinking about getting the re-release and boy am I GLAD I took the time out to check out your videos. Pleasantly surprised this re-release went with the matte/flat paint job with the hair - coulda sworn there was another re-release of Trunks before this one floating around or maybe it was a 3rd party figure that had a pearlescent/shiny hair finish that I just wasn't vibing with - honestly I think the painted matte hair just evokes the washed out pale blonde SS look from the OG 90s anime and thats what I probably love the most about it. Cheers! Really dig the format and comparison to other figures/older releases. If I remember later I can totally do a quick comparison to the first run release.

I had the original SH Figuarts Trunks, which really had terrible quality control - with his torso constantly falling apart... But I upgraded to this new version recently, and it's a lot better than the original. It is a fantastic line. I would like 2nd Form Cell, Black Frieza, and Ultra Ego Vegeta.

The output from the Vietnam factory was getting better until this guy arrived. A good looking enough release that just isn't fun to mess around with because of all of the stuff that pops off with ease. On one hand, it's good that Bandai engineers these things to pop off as opposed to break, but it can get irritating. I heard the new Freiza, which was also made in Vietnam, came out really well so maybe this one was just a hiccup. We need more original Dragon Ball. I like the little collection I have, but I'd love a Yamcha in his first appearance attire, and maybe Tien as well. And we definitely need representations of Goku, Chi Chi, and Piccolo from the final World Tournament arc. It would also be great if someone could be packed with an Oolong. Just make him a little slug figure or have a couple of parts like the Guldo from the Ginyu Force that was packed with Burter. There's so much more they could with Dragon Ball though (Pilaf's gang, Pirate robot, Cyborg Tao, etc.) but I'm guessing it doesn't sell as well as the stuff based on Z and that's why we haven't seen a new figure since Launch.

to be honest this figure isn't as bad as a lot of reviewers say, the leg is a little wobbly but it doesn't affect the articulation or making the figure stand, the arm easily pops out probably to easily attach the sword holster, but it never pops out unintentionally.

I purchased my Trunks figure in August, and it was terrible. I had the exact same problems you had with your Trunks figure. His knee pad came off and his arm fell off, so I went to the store at a later date to buy some super glue to glue his arm and kneecap back on but when I made it back home, I somehow lost his kneecap and never found it but that's beside the point. So, when I start to poor a little drop of glue on his arm it somehow dripped through the little square hole and made it to the double-jointed elbow so now, I can't move it AT ALL. So I used to just have him in his box for a while, every now and then I would just mess with his articulation and recently his leg randomly got loose, So while I was articulating his leg too see what was causing the looseness his frickin LEG BROKE OFF so now all I have is a bunch of useless accessories to go with nobody! But they are going to re-release him I think next year and hopefully that one doesn't have the Q.C. issues that this one had.

About the index finger on the sword gripping hand. The most likely reason is that this is exactly how you hold a sword in Japanese fencing, kenjutsu. You leave the index finger looser because when you flex the lower three fingers it automatically bends your wrist a bit down and helps with cutting 😉 You can try it yourself. First close all finders at the same time into a fist, and then leave the index finger a bit open and try the same.

This Trunks looks really good, but it's also the biggest mess i've ever seen in that SHF line regarding the QC problems we have. What i hope to see in the near future ? Basicly nothing. I actually wished the DB classic line to grow up, with BANDIT Yamcha first, and after him the Pilaf squad, and other charachters from that line. But sadly, DB classic is not popular with his toy line, especially in the US i've read (many times). For me, GT ans Super you can throw it to the bin, i really don't like these sequels, only DB and DBZ matter to me.

i highly encourage you looking around for the fixes and doing them on your trunks, if you have the usual q.c issues of wobbly legs and the arm that falls off then it's very fixable! would probably take around 30 mins. to an hour if you're not used to fiddling around with figures, but if you are then that's even better! fixed up mine and he's probably currently my favorite ; u; goes without saying that we shouldn't even have to this stuff at this price point, but the qc issues being consistent across most copies is a bit of a blessing mine had some bad paint work on the normal trunks head so i had to repaint the bangs on top of fixing the loose stuff

Tbh despite being loose he ain't bad he still stands but quality control is bad. Planning to start a boycott absent hasbro on Marvel legends and Transformers. This last year SO MANY issues. Prices go up and the size of and quality of figures have gone super down I'm just waiting till after the next c men wave idk why so many people freaking out over new cyclops figure. So figure let them have that then start the boycott hoping collectors will get will power and join so we get better quality figures at cheaper prices. I may just do figuarts next cause this figure needed better quality control and Krillin earns strongest man those defective knees I can imagine what else.

Hasbro is always the upset. I think going after Mafex for your Marvel figures would be the better deal. You just get more for your money and they are more enjoyable longer. Marvel Legends just don't hold much excitement after opening.
