RIP Don. He knew his VWs and a lot more. Didn’t know that about the Safari name.

Came for 'The Thing',and stayed for the 'Country Squire"wagon,and I grew up with a '69 3-seat.Dad in the '67 Galaxie with the Great Aunt and 2 bros,and our food,as the wagon had the rest of us 9,headed for a holiday at our cabins.

A factory vinyl roof on a station wagon. Now that is rare!

That ‘68 LTD Wagon with hidden headlights, the Ranchero also had that very cool look. Sweet.

I can't wait till this virus madness is over and we can get together and have fun with cars again! I'm sure there are people who are still doing it now, but I value the lives of others too much to take the chance

If we all do the right things now, we'll get back to something closer to normal sooner.

They were called the type 182 here in the UK, when they sold here in the 70's.

I dig that the '68 LTD 428 Wagon had the air cleaner lid flipped for better airflow. I did the same on my '69 428 Torino Cobra.

I flat don't get some of these car owners?! The outside and inside of the car are almost immaculate. Yet when Dennis has them pop the hood it is a grimy, dirty nightmare under the hood!!!???
@adriantomlin29025 жыл бұрын
I know Dennis is into different and green vehicles. Sometimes with all the nice stuff in the background, I wished he would do some "normal" cars!

I love quirky cars but VW Things were death traps . Slow , with a wooden removable floor and not one crumple zone that would save you on impact . They were bad cars for highway driving for sure .

That 38 Olds is awesome. Car styling has gone downhill since the 70's. The 80's had some okay boxy styles, the 90's looked like they took the 80's vehicles and just rounded all the corners. And after that, all cars look like jellybeans. They have no style. The only way to tell cars apart is from the grilles. And they're all ugly. And don't even get me started on crossovers....
