Nicely explained. Some, or all, of the symptoms are quite common in my clinic and it is wise for students to understand and study various forms of treatment(s). Please keep your videos coming, as I’m sure they help so many.

Thank you for your informative video. I'm bilateral vTOS, I've had both my first ribs removed and currently finding a diagnosis for the nerve pain im experiencing on the right. It could be nTOS or CRPS. My right subclavian vein was so damaged I had a stent implanted last year.

Is there any link between TOS and the vertebral arteries? Been experiencing a rocking dizziness for 462 days and no one can determine the cause.
@JohnGibbons
@JohnGibbons 4 жыл бұрын
In theory the TOS doesn't effect the vertebral artery, however indirectly it will have a relationship as the scalenes are involved and if tight then restrict cervical motion, try abs see someone who is good in their field, good luck, regards JG

@John Gibbons Is it possible that long term TOS (possibly combined with pectoralis syndrome) whether its neurological or vascular or some combination of both can cause a similar type of problem to occur in the lumbar plexus region or some type of tightness in lower back/and leg pain. I have seen many doctors. I have extreme tightness almost everywhere especially in the neck shoulders (traps especially), jaw, head. I just went to the Mayo clinic and received botox in many places along the head and traps (nothing in the neck or jaw). This helped a lot with being able to actually hold my head. I have many neurological issues (extreme sensitivity to sound and light) eye pain, face pain. I noticed after the botox that the muscles in my shoulders jaw and head have relaxed and thus I am able to do a little more. I try and do a stretch on the wall with my arm resting on it almost like a upper chest doorway strectch but instead my fist in closed and my arm is resting on a wall. This seems to give really good relief to the nerves as this all in the beggining started as arm pain and I have been dealing with arm pain for a couple of years now. I guess I'm wondering if this could be caused by the plexus AND vascular arteries that go underneath the collarbone and above the rib are being crunched possible by the first rib. I have trouble breathing and can almost feel like my ribs may be permanently elevated. I have intense pulsing in that area around the subclavian especially when I'm doing the arm on the wall stretch and possition my head correctly. It feels like I almost have a dystonia where my head is being pulled from the right side to the left constantly especially when I sit at a computer for extended periods of time. I know this a lot and thank you for reading this but I'm desperate for help. I live in the USA do you have any thoughts on all of this and can you possibly be contacted via skype for an evalutation or physical therapy appointment. The dr at mayo I saw thinks its just oversensitivity of everything casued by weak muscles and just reccomended see a physical therapist and start doing movement. I know its more complex especially after watching your videos. Thank you very much.

It might also be worth noting that my left collarbone has been popping for a while and often feels out of place and I have some type of bone behind c5-c6 that can pop in and out and causes different sensations along with other (what feels like ribs) pop in and out at times especially if im moving from one position to another like geting in bed at an angle or sometims going from sit to stand or vise versa thank you!

I'm sure I have TOS. I've had this sore spot tucked in between my right shoulder blade for a while, and I could exaggerate the pain by putting my chin to chest. 4th April i awoke unable to turn my head to the right, with the shoulder pain image the side of a cricket ball, and cold burning right arm, which was very restless. I've been exercising to reduce the pain and improve my posture. I still have pain in my wrist, especially operating a computer mouse, and tingling in the index, middle and half ring finger (classic median nerve). The soreness in my shoulder is still there, but is reduced to the size marble. I've no way of knowing the root cause - I think its neurological. Not sure if its cervical rib, elevated first rib, pec minor, of cervical bundel / scalene muscles? Due to COVID i cant see a specialist. I'm in Swindon so not far from the clinic.

Great videos i have to say. I have a weird sharp right scapular pain when turning head to the right. It lasts for a month now. no pain when resting, walking... Could it be from brachial plexus or neck?
@JohnGibbons
@JohnGibbons 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the message and yes if you turn your neck and feel something in your shoulder then more than likely it is coming from the cervical spine. regards JG

Hello sir, when İ press upper left corner of my right chest or when i try to stretch my right shoulder, a popping sound comes from the upper left corner of my right chest( really close to the sternum not close to the shoulders). And also there is a constant small pain which is not going away for 8 months. After İ got this small constant pain my right arm's power decreased and small pain increases when i lift something with my right hand. This small pain came after smoking, İ stoped smoking but somehow the small pain increases when someone smokes close to me. my doctor said there is nothing in my lungs and he also said he couldn't see anything unusual in tomography scan. So is there a possibility that İ am having the issue which you explained in here? İ am still having the small pain and popping sounds are still coming from there, İt really lowers the quality of my life. Or what do you suggest to me? İ would be really appreciated if you answer me. And also İ think İ should say that İ used to go to gym and lift weights before İ got this problem .
