Ive never heard of this format but I like it! I'm pretty new and running Family Matters with my own changes now, but tbh i could probably just have an alt list of my own deck and pull out cards accordingly

This sounds like an interesting format! I wonder if it's also more budget-friendly. But I could imagine less so, because there is less space for synergy and more drive towards packing the deck with gas/staples.

50 cards is plenty and like he said early in the video its all gas you hardly get stuck with dead cards in your hand, unless you have some really specific conditions to play them

@@kennethreed8485 I didn't talk about whether the 50 cards limit. My question was how budget-friendly the format is, when there are less cards. I assume players might tend to go for more powerful/expensive cards, when they have less card slots.

So I feel like this really has to do with how you personally want to build a deck. I do think that you could build a bunch of decks for very cheap since you don’t necessarily need the best of the best to build a solid deck. The deck I did build in the video I released today is about 75 bucks but remove two cards and you’re below 50 bucks. This format also allows you to use cards that are powerful for being only 3 mana and using that you can go off and find one cent cards that can create a really cool and powerful deck. I just pick out cards from my existing EDH deck. And a Dina, Soul steeper Tiny Legend deck is born from my Beledros Witherbloom commander deck.

Checked banlist to see whether 5 color sisay, weath cap was banned... It is, would've built mine like one, but urtet especially and new tazri seem doable but restrictive, and jenson probably just bad

Are cards with X in the mana cost legal?

yes as long as the colored pips on the card are less than 3 mana value. even during the game while in your deck, hand, and graveyard X is 0 until you cast it.

Yes they are technically legal since the mana value is below 3 but you can cast them for much more. I hope this helps and you have a great day!

I miss tiny leaders so much, actual tiny leaders not this tiny leaders reborn stuff... They mess with the core of the game too much
