"When the Holy Spirit comes down upon your gifts of bread and wine, they are transformed in a radical way. And what is true of Jesus in heaven is made present here on this altar. Jesus is present, giving his very self to the Father, uninterruptedly, giving himself in our midst so that we who 2000 years ago were not present on Calvary can now be present and participate in this gift of Christ himself."
